[ Decided I wanted to colour communistofzaun‘s drawing of Viktor and Val’s AU daughter, Aleksei as illustrated here.
Save for her sharper features and tall height, she would take a lot after Val both in appearance and personality, what with her lightly tanned skin and red hair. However, she wouldn’t look too much like Valentina at all. Actually, I think she would look more like a combination of her grandparents, Dmitry and Zoya.
Dmitry comes from a family of people with red hair, which is where Valentina got her coppery locks from. He himself has darker, less saturated ginger hair but it is more visible in the light. Aleksei’s darker shade would have come from one of Dmitry’s siblings I think. As for her eyes and natural lip colour (and shape for that matter), that would be all Zoya. I was thinking to make her eyes the colour of Vik’s but i couldn’t find anything about his natural eye colour ;^;
She has a much warmer, softer palette than either of her parents. Viktor is all cold, monotonous colours while Valentina’s is a lot brighter with more contrast (blue eyes/bright ginger hair/berry lipstick). It would be part of her allure as she’s older; invite people with her friendly appearance but continue to hold a mysterious air.
