Jack loves Miles so much and just resents the fact that they aren’t together anymore and that he lost the only person who was ever on his side
jack doesn’t know how to process his love or how to deal with the fact that he longs for the day he and miles can be together for good again, so he turns it into the emotion he’s most familiar with, which unfortunately seems to be anger and jealousy, and that love becomes resent. not entirely hate, but more so of an “it’s so fucking unfair that i lost you and you got the good side of things and i feel empty and alone i don’t know how to love you without it hurting when we’re not whole together so what’s the point in loving at all?”
