It's my wall paper now :3
I needed to write something about Sabine using Ezra’s kohl to remember him I hope you don’t mind fhfjdjfj —
Hera reached for Sabine’s arm to stop her. She was almost certain now that she’d been trying to avoid her for a while.
“Sabine…” Sabine didn’t meet her eyes, but Hera could see the hurt in them. “Please, talk to me.”
There was a moment of hard silence. “Ezra’s still out there.” Sabine’s voice was quiet but intense. It was stern and sure, as if she hadn’t a single doubt about what she said.
Hera’s breath stuck in her throat. “I know, Sabine—“
“Then why aren’t we out there trying to find him?” Guilt washed over Sabine’s face; guilt at the accusation in her tone, the implication that her statement carried.
Tense silence hung over them. The Ghost was empty save for the two of them; Zeb and Kallus had taken Jacen out for a treat, and Chopper had been mysteriously quiet for the past half hour.
And then, there were Kanan and Ezra.
Painful as it was, Hera knew that Kanan was gone, however determined she was to keep him alive in her heart, in the rest of the crew’s hearts, and most importantly: in Jacen’s.
But there was a chance that Ezra was still alive. The thought of him alone, isolated and afraid made Hera’s heart ache; although she found some consolation in reminding herself that he was older now. He knew how to survive.
But the notion that if they didn’t find him soon Hera wouldn’t be there to watch him grow up tugged at her heartstrings again. Sabine had a point. They should be out there looking for him.
Hera still found doubt seeping into her heart through cracks of pain and hurt. What if Ezra was gone forever?
Though she quickly shut those thoughts out. She would try. She’d try for her son and for her family.
Hera looked Sabine in the eye again. After a moment, she said, “You’re doing something different with your eyes.”
Sabine’s eyes flitted to the ground. “It’s…” Her voice almost broke. Hera could tell she was trying her hardest to keep it steady. “It’s Ezra’s kohl. The one he used to wear. I just…” Hera’s heart twisted again. “I miss him.” Sabine’s voice was barely above a whisper, and it hitched at the last word.
“I do, too.” Hera struggled to find the words, to pull them past the lump in her throat. “We’ll find him, Sabine, I promise you.”
