Also random but something I wanted to mention about Kamp Koral. We got official year of when it takes place. The flashbacks in the movie is the year prior. That takes place 1999. The series takes place in 2000. And we have is actual birthday. He'd be old enough to have a crush at that point. At that age. Kids usually feel weird about saying they love someone. They'd say like instead for some reason- sponge on the other hand said love with his whole chest to Squishward. Then again this is Sponge but still-

The main series he was already super affectionate but I think it's interesting seeing how he was as a kid. It furthers reinforce this.

His bowtie is a reference to peewee Herman. One of the inspirations for Spongebob.

His shoes are a two toned saddle shoes. Initially created as a mens sports shoe style. By the 40s, the style was adopted by teen girls and by the 60s considered general school uniform shoes.

I think they look really good and I'd love a pair myself so it made me feel happy when I noticed them.

Maybe he got the pair from his mom? That she used to have when she was younger since they fell out of fashion around his time, whenever The Patrick Star Show takes place. His entire fit is pretty dated.
