sloth appreciation society. <3 Also... Liberal Arts, I think I want to watch the first few minutes of that movie just so I know what you are talking about. Manic Pixie Dream girl makes me uncomfortable sense it's been projected on me once or twice.
Yeah you should check it out just to see how they portrayed it! I didn't really mind people like the main girl played by Kristen Dunst in Elizabethtown (she was the original manic pixie dream girl, I guess), somehow even though it *was* kinda unrealistic at times, it didn't really bug me--a lot of other movies bug me with that stereotype though, like sometimes it's just so overplayed and overdramatic that it's just not realistic whatsoever... this movie was just the worst example I've seen of it though, maybe because they just could not decide on her personality--she was half manic-pixie but the other half of the time she was drunk immature college girl and the other half just an overreactive mess. Super awkward, but so far it's redeemed itself for the fact that the main guy seems good. Like, he's nothing particularly exciting but he is a pretty stand up guy and he's just been too nostalgic about his college years, which is probably why he went for this girl in the first place--and by the end of the movie he's realising it's better to move on.
