Burm advice

So I know he’s overweight. Question is, how to estimate the correct amount/frequency of food.

The care sheets online say things like, “feed them as often as they will eat” or “after 10ft, offer a 3 lb r4bb1t every 10 to 14 days” and I just… Wow.

No wonder so many captive burms are obese.

Back on-topic: I was thinking large r4ts every 14 days? Or jumbos?

I want to feed him smaller meals, but fairly frequently, to avoid liver inflammation from processing too much of own body fat.

If you know of any sort of reputable care guides (from zoos and such, maybe), please share as well.
