Some fun OTP questions! (Owec Version!)
I might do these with Riley and Tommy too someday... but I wanted to give Alec and Owen some love too! (I’ll reblog the original soon for anyone who wants it)
1: Who spends almost all their money on the other?
Owen is more likely to pick up random snacks he knows Alec likes anytime he goes out. Alec is the one to go on Amazon and buy like fifteen things off a wishlist he keeps filled with things he thinks Owen will like, for no reason at all.
2: Who sleeps in the other’s lap?
They both do. Alec likes to stretch out on Owen when they watch movies and such- but if Alec is reading for work (of either type), Owen has no problem settling his head in his lap and quietly watching TV.
3: Who walks around the house half-naked and who yells at them to put on some clothes?
...Do you know Alec’s family? Clothing is like, optional 100% of the time. He’ll forget random articles of clothing all the time- like walking around in socks and a tshirt and Owen just yells at him to at least put on underwear for the love of god you’re in the kitchen.
4: Which one tells the other not to stay up all night and which one stays up all night anyway?
Alec has a caffeine problem and never knows how to sleep. Owen is constantly telling him to go to bed. Alec never listens.
5: Which one tries to make food for the other but burns it all by accident and which one tells them that it’s okay and makes them both cookies?
Alec can’t cook. You’d think with Jason being his dad he could... but he really can’t. Simple things yes, better than Tim, but don’t make him read more than a few directions or deal with more than a single pop of whatever. Owen is a decent cook. He can make dinner taste decent- and he makes really good muffins. So he’d probably make muffins, not cookies.
6: Which one reads OTP prompts and says “Oh that’s us!” and which one goes “Eh, not really”?
Owen gets excited whenever he thinks something reminds him of them. Alec rolls his eyes- but he’s smiling.
7: Which one constantly wears the other’s clothes?
Fun fact is that they wear close to the same size. Owen’s not bulky at all, and Alec has some lean muscle since his family does make him work out. He’s taller than Owen tho (all the kids took after Jason in the height department), so he can’t usually steal his sweats without complaining that his ankles are cold.
8: Which one spends all day running errands and which one says “You remembered [thing], right?”
Owen has to run the errands. Alec never stops hating going out, and if he doesn’t have to, he won’t. He’ll text Owen the whole time reminding him to do things/get things, and sometimes it drives Owen up a wall because that wasn’t a part of the original plan at all.
9: Which one drives the car and which one gives them directions?
Listen, if Alec isn’t driving he’s such a backseat driver. Owen realizes this real fast.
10: Which one does the posing while the other one draws?
They’re not artistic. It’s not happening. You’d end up with stick figures.
11: If they were about to rob a museum, which one does backflips through lasers and which one is strolling behind with a bag of chips?
HA! Owen’s the one trying to be stealthy. Alec’s got his snacks but it’s okay because trust me, he probably disarmed the whole thing while brushing his teeth that morning.
12: Which one of your OTP overdoes it on the alcohol and which one makes the other stop drinking?
Alec’s not a big drinker. He’s used to bailing Riley and Alyssa outta trouble when they’re drunk. Owen really isn’t a big drinker either though. So it’s more like Alec getting dragged outta bed because his sister needs a ride and Owen taking up the whole bed to try and keep the heat.
13: Which one likes to surprise the other with a lot of small random gifts?
Like I said- Owen’s the kinda guy that goes out and comes back like hey I grabbed you this candy bar. Alec is the guy that randomly buys you a new computer because it’s like, the second Tuesday of the month or something silly like that.
14: Which one keeps accidentally using the other’s last name instead of their own?
Alec isn’t about to change his name. To him, it’s a big tie to his family, and they’re everything. Owen is guilty of looking in the mirror in the morning and saying Owen Todd and Owen Drake and then with a grin Owen Drake-Todd because it’s not like he could break-up Alec’s last name.
15: Which one screams about the spider and which one brings the spider outside?
Owen screams. Owen screams loud. Alec will put a cup over it and then get distracted and forget. Alyssa will show up to kill it/take it outside for them.
16: Which one gives the other their jacket?
Depends! Alec is more adverse to the cold than Owen, but Owen has definitely taken Alec’s jackets before. And trust me, he basically parades himself around wearing it. (He’s super proud of being Alec’s boyfriend)
17: Who keeps getting threatened by the other’s overprotective older sibling?
HA. Owen obviously. He’s an only child, and uh have y’all seen Riley? He’s a big buff buttercup sure, but he is protective of his twins. Granted the first time he meets Owen, Owen has been friends with Alec for a while and all. He missed his chance because he was busy taking care of Tommy during the time he nearly died. But Owen doesn’t forget that Riley is big and intimidating to look at- and he’s pretty sure Alyssa could skin him all while mixing drinks without spilling a drop.
18: Who’s the first one to admit they have feelings for the other?
Well they kissed and Alec realized he liked it, and it sorta was mutual in the end. There’s a ficlet for it actually!
19: How good would your OTP be at parenting?
These two? They never planned on kids. Alec does not like the idea of being pregnant, and he didn’t want to be a dad. Owen was alright with that. But they end up raising Alyssa’s daughter for a time, after Lana dies and Alyssa is just a fucking wreck and slowly trying to destroy herself. And they do a damn good job- Alyssa will say so. She’s convinced everything good her daughter is is because of what she inherited from Lana and how her brother and Owen raised her.
20: Which one types with perfect grammar and which one types using numbers as letters?
Alec shortens everything he can Owen tries to be concise but Alec’s abbreviations don’t even always make sense. And the emojis.
21: Who gets attacked by a bully and who protects them?
They’re adults when they meet, so this doesn’t really apply. But Owen will stand up to anyone badmouthing Alec, and Alec will rip into anyone who trash talks Owen.
22: Who makes the bad puns and who makes a pained smile every time the other makes a pun?
These two probably bounce puns off each other, who are we kidding.
23: Who comes home from work to see that the other one bought a puppy?
Alec would come home to Owen buying a pet. Alec really just doesn’t want to be responsible for another life.
24: Which one gives the other a piggyback ride when they’re tired?
Alec can probably lift Owen easier than Owen can lift him, actually. But Owen’s telekinesis give him an edge. It’s probably more of Owen half dragging half trying to carry an overly exhausted Alec.
25: Which one competes in some sort of activity and which one does the overzealous cheering?
Owen would flat out be Alec’s cheerleader if he could.
26: Who takes a selfie when the other one falls asleep on their shoulder?
Owen. Takes. So many. Selfies. Alec is more likely to just take 3000 pictures of his latte because it looks cool, but Owen’s Instagram is filled with pictures included like, half of Alec’s face and such.
27: Which one would give the other a makeover if they asked?
Neither wants one. Alec loves his hoodies and leggings and the dark circles under his eyes are designer okay. Owen isn’t flashy and he wants to keep it that way.
28: Which one owns a pet that the other is absolutely terrified of?
Neither has a pet. Like I said though, Alec doesn’t wanna be responsible for another life.
29: Which one holds the umbrella over both of them when it rains?
Usually Alec is texting and Owen is holding the umbrella and smiling fondly at him. And making sure he doesn’t walk into anything.
30: If your OTP went on vacation, where would they go and what would they do? Who would take the pictures?
Beach. Alec likes the ocean, and laying in the sun, and the warm sand. And teasing Owen because Owen’s white and will burn, and Alec’s got Jason’s complexion and his already tanned skin darkens pretty damn well. But Alec doesn’t want to do much- it’s a vacation. Owen wants to sight-see.
And yes, this time he can definitely convince Alec to willingly be in his selfies.
