If I ever somehow get large enough to approach a company like Makeship or Ownaj or Youtooz, this is exactly what I would want to make :3
I simplified a lot of the details from the real Chesapeake Blue Crab so that she's easier to make and will look better. The legs on the real crab are not blue on all sides, the shades on the top of the shell vary, the points on the left and right of the shell are orange, etc.
She's meant to represent me, and I'm not AFAB, so neither is she. Hence the V shape on her underbelly rather than an O shape.
I made the brown-ish separation between the top and bottom parts of the shell a lot more prominent than it is on irl crabs to provide a little bit more emphasis on her face area, and to make it easier to physically implement.
Ideally, she'd be made from fleece, but fleece is HELLA expensive, and probably not strong enough for a manufactured consumer-grade plush 💔
Also the reason I often represent myself with a blue crab with glasses is because I don't know how to pose the human model I made for myself, and looking at crabs is way more coolerer and awesomesauce than looking at anime girls.
