The King had been jumping to other universes, just in case specific foes he knew of ended up appearing them. He also liked the idea of fully exploring these universes himself. Sounded fun, right? What wasn’t fun was landing in the middle of a mess. He had appeared in a world that seemed quite violent. Two weird looking people coming at him from either side. One was a weird soldier with a mask that didn’t cover his hair. Looked fucking stupid. And the other, looked like a Death rip off. Like if Death and Grim from the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy had a son. It seemed they were going to attack him for no reason! Screw them then! He punched one in the face and kicked the other in the face - all in less then a second and it caused them to instantly meet their demise. “Clearly not the welcoming comity.”

       PRODUCTS OF WAR -- that’s what most everyone is in the world they live in. even if sombra didn’t wear it on the outside ever -- she knew the terrors night could hold in dreams && the memories she’d tried to delete weren’t gone from her own mind no matter how hard she tried. the scream calls her attention -- not sleeping since she’s busy working on something.

      tonight there’s no motive behind her actions -- for once, even though no one would believe her anyway -- just a tired hacker coming to see what was happening.  && she lets the other woman rest her head against her, shifting to sit down next to her && carry her weight -- both physically && mentally if she could.

       ❝ tranquila, conejita. you’ll be fine -- i won’t leave. ❞

       she isn’t the best with this sort of thing, really -- but she tries because she can hear the fear && call for help behind her words. she’d grown accustomed to dealing with her own problems -- having the world give her a hard lesson that no one takes care of you but yourself in most cases -- wanting to scream for comfort at points even now but not having the voice to because it doesn’t fit the image of sombra that she’d built up along with the walls fortified over time. she just waves a hand, bringing up a screen to play soft music for her.

Life in a cult, with his only outings being a handful of missions to further the cult's needs, left with with little time to indulge in celebrities or gamers. At least being with Talon allowed him more personal freedoms, even if joining had cost him an arm. 

    Literally.

    It was this same arm, reconstructed cybernetics and infused with some secret genetic sciences he couldn't even begin to explain, that he kept bandaged and in a sling to avoid the stares and, more importantly, to avoid scaring the gamer away.

    ❝ It's.... ❞ He faked trying to remember her name.  ❝ Oh, D.va!  ❞ His target to convert or destroy, but right now, all he felt was nervousness, and possibly a little starstruck as the little amount of research he had gotten to do of her had given him an idea as to her public status.   ❝ ...Right? ❞

“Hana, I’m sure Seventy-Six knows what pot brownies are. And what they smell like. And probably taste like.”

Emily cuts the pan into equal squares, looking from side to side before she lifted several out. 

“There is no way I am going to risk the wrath of a known vigilante because I gave his adopted kid pot brownies.” She is definitely not bagging Hana some brownies up. 

“I am a good role model, mostly because if I’m not there are a lot of people with guns who know me pretty well.” She is most certainly not handing this bag of brownies to Hana and winking. 

“I’m sorry, but you’re going to need to find your special brownies somewhere else.”

;- 💕 The pilot couldn’t agree more, and she showed her approval by nodding of the head while she rested her body up against the nearest door frame while still being in eye sight of the hacker. A small vibration from her back pocket signaled her she had an incoming message from lord knows who.

      “I mean, I connect with you on a spiritual level there,” Hana said before a sigh escaped her pursed lips. “I can only imagine what sort of stuff you went through to completely erase your history. As far as I’m concerned, no one really knows the real you, not even as knowing your own birth name.”

     The girl pulled away from the wall support and made her way closer to Sombra, though keeping a distance as it felt that maybe, in this situation, she needed to let the other have some space. “Doesn’t it get tired to be constantly hiding? Don’t you want to rather be La Luz than Sombra?”

A faint, and rather blank smile was offered by Sombra for a moment as she opened an energy drink. Her reasons for erasing her history were her own, and as much as Hana intrigued her she wasn't about to share them. Inclining her head just a touch she raised her drink as though toasting the other woman before sipping at it. Safer for others not to know the “real” her up to and including her birth name.

The final question however made her eyes narrow with a glint of suspicion. It wasn't exactly the type of thing people asked her after all. “Why ever would you ask something like that? Why would you care?” She wasn't angry, and her tone held just as much curiosity in it as any thing else. All the same Sombra found herself feeling almost defensive, and didn't like it.

“So who knows the real you these days? Not D.va the gaming superstar, or Hana Song the veteran MEKA pilot. Just Hana Song the nineteen year old girl. What is really under that sweet, and competitive attitude I wonder.” Purple eyes gazing into Hana's the hacker took a sip of her drink then blinked before smiling cheerfully. “Doesn’t it get tiring?”

;- 💕 It had been a combination of gaming for too long (participating in one of her 24 hour streams) and mental stress from having to keep up an act for that long. Sure she would take breaks in between to be able to collect herself but even then it wasn’t enough, and she reallyneeded to take some time off.

       Small mouth widened itself to a yawn as she entered the kitchen. Hana was still very groggy, very bothered, but she knew better than to talk back to the man offering her a cup of coffee. The exhausted Korean took a hold of the beverage and positioned herself onto a chair near Jack although not even batting an eye to him.

      One small sip.

      …

     “날 엿 먹어라….*”

     Another.

     …

    “Gonna be doing anything later?”

     Avoiding the question as per usual when it came to such a thing.

with hands freed jack takes opportunity to retrieve his own cup, previously placed upon the counter behind his hip ; opposite arm folds across his stomach, RESTING position as he leans back, crossing an ankle over the opposite in posture far more LAX than he’s normally allowed to present.

lifting his own mug ( ceramic ironically depicting the image of hana’s pink bunny icon ), the soldier takes a long pull of BITTER coffee, a brow ARCHING inquisitively as she poses question ;

there’s a pause for him to swallow, cup lowered in the following moment to allow him the chance to share answer :

                                                        “ nothing out of the ordinary. ”

which was to mean he’d see himself in the shooting range, taking down hardlight targets until winston inevitably requests help filing PAPERWORK & MISSION REPORTS.

there’s INTRIGUE in his next words, perhaps hinted at even with a touch of HOPE ;

                                             “ why, did you have something planned ?”
