Cat&Jonah II First Day
@cat--vargas
At first he wasn’t interested in this job. It didn’t seem like a challenge and he was pretty happy in his current positio. He thought there couldn’t be much work for him in a small town like Beacon Hills. But after what he’d heard, there might be something big going on there. A secret cult or serial killer crossed his mind if he paid attention to the rumors. If not before, he knew after the best officers of each department throughout the country were selected to build a new team and were sent to Beacon Hills. It was his call. Jonah should have been flattered to be one of them. However, he was a city man and really couldn’t imagine himself living on the countryside. He tried to convince himself it wouldn’t take long to find the responsible. After all the options to hide in a small place were limited.
He just arrived in Beacon the night before. Five hours of sleep and a cold shower after his morning work-out later, he was on his way to his new office. Still used to taking an hour to the station back home, he arrived way early. Despite the stop at the gas station where he ordered a round of coffee and donuts for the new team. It was still dark inside but the early bird didn’t mind. It’d give him time to inspect the building.
Once he opened the door with the key he’d been given, he turned on the lights of the hallway and peeked through the windows of each room, observed every detail of his surroundings until he found the little sign with his name on it next to a door. Jonah opened it and set the boxes down onto the wooden table, sighing. “So this is it hu?.”
