WHAT: Swimming and being precious!
NOTES: Done in Chatzy.
Theo gently tugged on Bryan's arm as he investigated every inch of the park in search of his journal. After what seemed like hours-- but was most likely only thirty or so minutes, he huffed. "Bryan, I'll never find it," he looked up at him with a frown before sitting down on a bench nearby, "This is the worst thing to have ever happened to me."
Bryan Bryan's eyes were careful for any sign of the journal, but it remained nowhere to be seen. He sighed and looked at the boy, even feeling sad for him. As the other boy huffed and sat down, he gently took a seat beside him, looking towards the boy. "C'mon, don't think like that... what were you doing when you were here? Where were you?" He smiled lightly. "I'm sure it can't be so bad..."
Theo smiled gently at Bryan, genuinely thankful for his offer to help him. "I was on one of these benches-- I swear," he muttered, glancing around. "I was writing my thoughts out..I don't want anyone to see," he chuckled softly before his eyes lit up and he hopped out of his seat. "Holy cow, I found it!" he grinned as he grabbed the journal off of the ground, "I found it!"
Bryan: nodded, his eyes glancing downward. He knew what the boy meant, and silently hoped no one too bad got their hands on it. Just as he was about to try to reassure him, the other boy's entire set of features changed, and Bryan almost jumped as Theo flew out of his seat. His eyes followed the boy, and he himself lit up as Theo picked up the book, shouting in happiness. He got up from the seat, grinning largely. "Told ya it'd be alright, bud!" He squeezed Theo's shoulder. "Maybe keep the writing indoors from now on, yeah?" He lightly teased, glad to see the other boy really smile for the first time tonight.
Theo was grateful for Bryan's reassurance, finding it to be refreshing and new to him. "Thanks for not..y'know, making fun of me," he chuckled as he held the journal close to his chest, grinning crookedly as the blonde hugged his shoulder. He ran his fingers through his long, curly, probably messy hair and blew it out of his face, "Good idea. No more writing outside." As he continued to hold the journal close, he nudged the shorter boy, "Now it's time for the fun, 'kay?"
Bryan: smiled, but furrowed his eyebrows. "Why would I make fun of 'ya? We all got stuff we don't want people to see, right?" His smile turned into a grin at the boy's words, and stepped back in front of him. "Oh, I'm all for the fun parts." He tilted his head slightly to the side. "Now, where, Theo, will we be attending without permission tonight?"
Theo looked down at his feet before looking up to give the boy a wide grin, "Yeah..you're right." He stuffed his hands in his pockets and looked down at the boy with a teasing smile on his lips, "So, what's your thing that you don't want people to see?" Theo giggled at Bryan, who seemed to be excited, and poked his side playfully. "If you're up for it, there's a heated pool at the country club," he started off, running his thumb over his lower lip before lowering his voice, "And I've been dying to sneak in-- especially since I'm not a member of the country club."
Bryan: shook his head with a smirk at the boy's question, before grabbing at the hands that poked at his side, laughing slightly. "That's for me to know, and you to never find out, isn't it?" His grin grew as Theo continued to speak. "Ah, the country club. Been going there since I was a kid... they're closed now, but hell, what's the fun if it's open?" He had to admit, the country club was normally a bit boring, but sneaking in tonight, hanging out with Theo... the guy had proven to be surprisingly good company so far, and night swimming was always fun. He nodded. "Let's do it.
Theo laughed and tried to free his hands from Bryan's for a moment before he intertwined all of their fingers for a moment, mindlessly squeezing the boy's hands before letting them go, "I promise no more poking," he replied with a wink. "Aw, come on," he pouted, "I'll find out one day. Don't underestimate me." Theo clasped his hands together behind his back and rocked on his feet, a childish smile gracing his lips when Bryan agreed to going on Theo's adventure. "C'mon," he grinned and hurriedly made his way towards the country club.
Bryan: "I'm doling you to that promise." He raised his eyebrows, and dancing smirk coming across his features. "I wouldn't dare." As soon as a smile tugged at Theo's lips, Bryan couldn''t help but mirror it. The boy's eneergy was incredibly infectious, he had to admit. As he began to hurry in that direction, Bryan followed suit, silently thanking whatever was out there that the country club was right nearby. As they hurried over, and grew close to the club, Bryan smiled at Theo. "Have you ever broken into anything before?"
Theo "Doling? Are you an English professor?" Theo teased with a lighthearted giggle, making sure to put emphasis on the word that he'd never heard used outside of Vocabulary class. He ran his fingers through his loose, curly hair as his long legs made strides on the pavement. He turned around to look at Bryan and shrugged with a proud smile on his face, "Only a couple of things." He tilted his head to the side, "What about you?"
Bryan: shrugged, smiling slightly to himself. "You could say I have... wait." He reached out and took the boy's arm as they were nearing the building, and pulled him back gently, keeping him out of sight from an employee getting in his car. "That's the janitor, Dan. I forgot he stays this late... just stay quiet for a sec," he whispered. He put a finger to Theo's lips, smiling slightly as the car pulled away, leaving a no one else but them two there.
Theo was startled when he felt Bryan take his arm, worrying that he'd done something wrong-- he was on his heels, trying to stay alert just in case the two ran into any trouble. He cursed under his breath when he realized he'd almost gotten both of them busted. "What would I do without you?" he smirked against Bryan's finger, quickly grabbing his hand, "You okay with jumping the fence?"
Bryan: grinned from ear to ear. "I have no idea, honestly." He joked to the other boy, before nodding at his words. "Like second nature. Think I was born jumping a fence." He quietly jogged forward, keeping a hold of Theo's hand as the approached the fence. "Ready for the time of your life, Curls?" He smiled at the other boy before grabbing the fence and pulling himself up, throwing a leg over the top, and carefully jumping down, landing as softly as he could. "You good over there?" He whisper-yelled to Theo.
Theo poked Bryan's side again before joking around with the blonde, "Don't let it go to your head." He playfully gagged at Bryan's comment, absentmindedly running his thumb across Bryan's fair-skinned hand, "Gross, I really hope you weren't born that way." Theo's wild eyes watched Bryan's movements, giggling at the nickname, "Course I am! I'm ready for you to show me all of the ropes, oh Great One." He gave Bryan a nod before lifting his lanky body up and over the fence, almost tripping as he landed on his feet. He grabbed Bryan's hand and led him to the pool, glancing around before he lifted his sweater up and over his head, tossing it onto the ground and continued to remove all of his clothes except for his boxers.
Bryan laughed slightly to himself as Theo dragged him toward the pool. He began to undress himself, removing his shoes, socks, and pants, but leaving his shirt on. He grinned playfully at Theo as he realized the last article of clothing came off the boy, and he saw how close he was to the edge. Without a second thought, Bryan leapt forward and pushed Theo just hard enough for him to trip into the water.
Theo gave Bryan a confused look, "You have to take your shirt off. It's part of the rules, bud." He came up from under the water, spitting some of it out of his face and moving his soaking wet hair out of his face, giving Bryan a pout. "How could you betray me like that? Hmm?" he asked, pulling on the boy's ankles as he giggled uncontrollably.
Bryan played it off as best he could. "Nope, no rules when you're already breaking some!" He grinned and raised his eyebrows at the other boy and crossed his arms. "You made it so-" He wasn't expecting Theo to reach out and pull on his ankles, and quickly found himself off-balance and tripping. It wasn't long before he came spluttering out of the water as well, playfully pushing Theo. "You're just as bad!" He laughed
Theo shook his head and laughed, "That's where you're wrong--I'm still allowed to create rules." He ran his fingers over his own chest and looked into Bryan's eyes, "I mean..y'know if it makes you uncomfortable, you don't have to, of course." He suddenly felt guilty. He laughed proudly as the boy fell into the water, "Hey, mine was only out of revenge!"
Bryan Bryan closed his eyes for a moment before trying to get some chlorine out of them. "I hate you, ya know," he said with a joking grin. "Haven't you ever heard... an eye for an eye..." He suddenly grabbed at Theo, pulling him underwater, laughing. One of the first times he could remember really laughing in a long time.
Theo stuck out his bottom lip and gave Bryan the most pathetic puppy eyes he could muster up, "Don't hate me, please?" Theo collapsed underneath the water, a wide smile on his face and he came up laughing, "And a tooth for a tooth..I get it, you taught me a lesson!" He spat out some of the pool water and shook his head, making sure that the water weighing down his hair would sprinkle onto Bryan's face.
Bryan grinned even wider. "Taught you a lesson I did." He flinched back, scoffing, as Theo sprayed hair-water into his face. "Rude," he good-naturedly mumbled as he rubbed the droplets from his eyes. He leaned back, the elbows resting on the pool edge, facing Theo. "So, you liking the water, rule-breaker?"
Theo rolled his eyes playfully as he listened to Bryan's remark, "Who are you..Yoda?" Theo watched the pool water drip off of Bryan's eyelashes and he bit down on his lower lip as he quickly glanced into the boy's blue eyes. "Rude? I'm only getting 'ya back for your huge mistake from earlier," he laughed lightly, referring to when Bryan had pushed him into the pool unexpectedly. The darker haired boy wiped his face to get rid of some of the excess water that was on it and he nodded, "It's been a while since I've felt so..adventurous as silly as it sounds."
Bryan smiled at the other boy, finding the other's amile and laugh to be infectious once again. "Alright, alright, truce!" He threw his hands up in mock defeat, before listening to Theo's next words. He nodded his head intently. "S'not silly. Just hope you're having a good time. If ya go too long without an adventure, it'll kill a person." His grin turned into a warmer smile, before diving underwater and swimming more for the deep end.
Theo giggled and pointed a finger at the boy, "A truce! Good. You're a smart man, Bryan." He pushed his wet hair back and grinned, "I s'pose you're right, Bry. I'm having a great time and it's all thanks to you." He used his elbow to gently nudge the boy before a genuinely happy smile formed on his lips for what seemed like the first time in forever. He laughed to himself as Bryan swam off and swam towards the side of the pool, resting against it as he waited for Bryan to emerge from the water.
Bryan after remaining underwater for what seemed like an eternity - the silent hum of the water around his ears was always a welcome sound - he emerged with a slight gasp for air, right in front of Bryan. He tread water for a moment in front of the other boy. "So, you do things illegal all the time, hm?" He grinned suggestively, curious as to what the other boy was like. He intrigued Bryan, the blond had to admit. He finally swam next to Theo and leaned on the wall beside him as he waited for an answer.
Theo was startled to see the blonde right in front of him and a huge grin lit up his face as he watched the boy swim beside him. "Rarely do I act out illegally, pathetically enough," he chuckled as he looked out over the pool water, "But you may bring the strong desire for illegal acts out in me." He wiggled his brows and turned to face Bryan, "And what about you?"
Bryan Bryan shrugged. "Not many people do, don't be worried." A playful smile quickly danced it's way on to Bryan's face. "I'm gonna make a criminal of you! You ave my word." He turned towards the edge and pushed of the wall, swimming backwards until he was wading in front of the brunette. "You could say I... kind of get into a little trouble."
Theo raised his eyebrows and gave Bryan a curious look, finding himself growing increasingly drawn in by the boy. "Make a criminal out of me, I dare you." He gripped the edge of the pool and titled his head, "Oh? Elaborate, please!"
Bryan grinned, intrigued. "Maybe I will, Curls. I take dares very seriously." He let out a little breath of air, letting his eyes wander before settling them on Theo again. "Which parts would you like to elaborate? S'quite a bit to explain if you want it all, y'know."
Theo giggled at the nickname and swiped his tongue across his lower lip. "Well, Blondie. I'm up for it anytime." Theo clenched his jaw a little as he noticed Bryan's composure change, "What's one of the least illegal things you've done?"
Bryan Bryan lifted his eyes to the sky for a moment in thought. "The least illegal, or the least legal?" He looked back down at the boy before wiping his face of excess water once more. "Least illegal would be just stealing a candy bar or two from a local store." He he felt himself smile slightly, eyeing Theo, trying to gauge what he was thinking. "I don't think you'd like me much if you heard the least legal things."
Theo chewed on his lower lip, releasing it soon after. "Least illegal.." he trailed off and ran his fingers through his hair. He laughed softly, "I think I can forgive you for that..depending on what type of candy bars they were." He gulped and glanced down for a moment, running his fingers over the water, "What makes you think that?"
Bryan bit the inside of his lips as he noticed that Theo might be slightly uncomfortable. He quickly cleared his throat, and changed his tone back to being carefree. "It doesn't even matter! Really. We came to have a good time, right? Let's not ruin it." He laughed and grinned as he ruffled Theo's long hair.
Theo was curious, but he wasn't going to push it-- not wanting Bryan to feel like he was pressuring him to make him share something that might upset him. "Yeah..yeah we did," he beamed, scrunching up his nose as the boy messed with his hair. "Hey, should I cut my hair? Mom doesn't like it."
Bryan laughed a bit more at the boy's question, glad he still seemed alright. "I have no idea what your mom is talking about. I think it's great. Perfect length." He messed it up one more time, for good measure. "It suits ya well, y'know?"
Theo smirked, feeling his cheeks turn a bit pink, "Thanks, bud. She says I look like a hoodlum." He giggled and reached forward to mess with Bryan's hair, "Yours suits 'ya well, too. I quite like it."
Bryan laughed a little more loudly. "A hoodlum? How could anyone see you as a hoodlum?" He questioned playfully. He grinned and closed his eyes as his own hair was ruffled now, before moving his hands to get some strands out of his face. "Heh, thanks. Some people think it's a bit too blond... I dunno, it's just my natural color. What am I to do about it?" He smiled again, feeling genuinely happy. "Is it bad to say I'm glad you lost your journal? I mean, I'm glad you found it, but... if that didn't happen, we wouldn't be here, and I'm having a really good time. So thanks, I think." He laughed to himself, shaking his head.
Theo nudged Bryan and giggled upon hearing the boy's infectious laugh, "Because I'm a badass of course!" He smiled and fixed Bryan's hair after he'd messed it up, running his fingers through it as he shook his head, "It's not too blonde, it's perfect." As he listened to Bryan's voice, his mood lifted even more and he glanced over at him, smiling as he heard his laugh again. "You're welcome," he giggled, "I'm happy I lost it, too. I've had a good time..probably one of the best nights since I've gotten here."
Bryan nodded humorously. "Definitely a badass. Hell, it was your idea to sneak in tonight, wasn't it?" As Theo reached up to fix his hair, he notice the shades of blue in the boy's eyes that he hadn't before. He chewed on his lip for a moment before smiling. "Y'think so? Thanks." He smiled even further through Theo's words; the only thing making him happier was being reassured that Theo was having just as good a time. He raised his eyebrows, the smile still plastered to his features. "Really, since you got here?" He giggled slightly. "I'm glad I could be the one you're spending with, Curls. You're really good company, y'know."
Theo did a playful bow at Bryan's words, "Indeed it was. My middle name's Badass y'know? Mom thought it sounded good." He looked down and let his fingers fall down to the tip of Bryan's nose, tapping it lightly before pulling his hand away, "I think so. You look good." His eyes immediately darted away from Bryan and he swallowed hard. As soon as he heard Bryan's giggle, he looked up and grinned, unable to keep a straight face around Bryan. "I am? I'm not boring you to death?"
Bryan "I knew it. You must've come of the womb a rebel, right?" He smiled playfully. As he felt Theo tap his nose, he scrunched it slightly, before blushing slightly at the boy's words. He'd been told that before, but it always sounded so superficial. But now... looked down as Theo looked away, but quickly recovered, again catching the contagious giggle coming out of the taller boy. At the question, he gaped. "'Boring me'? Theo, this is the best night I've had in as long as I can remember. Honestly. Hey," He nudged Theo playfully. "Don't sell yourself short."
Theo continued going along with their playful banter, "Of course I did. As a four year old, I always ate dessert before I ate my green beans." Theo was quickly becoming more aware of the little things about Bryan that made him grin-- like his captivating eyes and his giggle, of course his giggle. He smiled, feeling relieved that Bryan wasn't bored out of his mind, "I'll try not to..as long as you don't sell yourself short." He poked Bryan's side again, this time turning it into more of a tickle.
Bryan Bryan flung his hand t his open mouth, mockingly startled. "You... you daredevil." He brought his hand down, laughing quietly as Theo spoke. "Fine, you've got yourself a deal." Just as he was about to put his hand out to shake on it, he felt Theo begin to tickle his side, and he broke down into a fit of hysteria. "N-no... Theo, Th... THEO!" He could barely get words out as he jerked around. He always was extraordinarily ticklish on his sides, and even the most playful, small tickle could send him into a fit.
Theo flipped some of his hair over his shoulder, playfully pretending to be proud of himself, "The best daredevil you'll ever meet." He ran his tongue across his lower lip and nodded towards the boy, "Good..because you deserve to know that you are great, okay?" He giggled uncontrollably at the reaction he got out of Bryan as he tickled him and as the boy's squeals got louder, Theo pulled him close and pressed his finger on his lips and giggled, "Shh, we don't wanna get caught!"
Bryan was losing it before Theo finally ceased and pulled him loser to warn him to be quiet. He whispered to the other boy. "What? You're the one who started tickling me!!" He started giggling under his breath, before realizing just how close they really were. He felt something in his chest flare as he examined the boy's face: the color of his eyes, how his lips curled into that infectious, adorable grin, and even the curve of his nose. His smile faltered... but crap. The boyfriend. As much as it pained him to do so, he pulled away good-naturedly. He smiled genuinely at the boy despite this. "You better not do anything to get us caught then, yeah?" He joked.
Theo laughed quietly, feeling Bryan's whisper hit his lips due to their closeness. "Forgive me, please! I didn't know how ticklish you were," he giggled softly, soon noticing Bryan's eyes on his face and he couldn't help but let his eyes wander the other boy's face, smiling as stared at Bryan's lips. He was soon shaken out of his thoughts as the blonde pulled away and he let out a shaky breath. "I would /never/ get you caught. I'll always take the blame," he winked and nudged the boy.
Bryan smiled brightly at the brunette, though inwardly still - unsuccessfully - trying to shake off that feeling. "Well, isn't that good to know? Too bad I wouldn't let you." He stuck out his tongue for a moment. "You may have been born a rebel, but would you really know what to do in jail?" He giggled again as he swam over to lean beside Theo.
Theo giggled and poked the side of Bryan's face, unable to keep his hands off of him. He sighed, trying to remember that he wasn't single and that Bryan wasn't interested anyways. "Put that tongue back in your mouth," he laughed and shook his head, "You're right..I don't think I'd do good in jail. My tummy needs good food." He smiled at Bryan, tilting his head to the side and looked into his eyes.
Bryan laughed playfully nudged Theo's shoulder. "Your tummy needs good food, and you are far too young and pretty for prison!" He joked gently, as he looked up at the night sky, which was now littered with stars. He turned to the side to look at Theo, who he found already looking at him. His smile turned into that look he had when they got close, but now, he had the boyfriend in the back of his mind. He continued to speak, slightly quiet this time. "Y''know, if you ever wanted to hang out, just with a friend... my door's always open. The people around here can get pretty boring anyway, it's nice to find someone who likes to have a little fun." He smiled and looked away from Theo now, towards the water they were emerged in.
Theo giggled at the contact Bryan had made with his shoulder, "I am far from pretty..but I agree that I'm a bit too young for prison." He chuckled and kept his gaze on Bryan, not wanting to look away and not wanting to give up any opportunity he had to look at the boy. He smiled to himself and bit down on his lower lip. "I'd like to hang out," he grinned, "Being around you has made me..happy." A blush rose on his cheeks and he grabbed the boy's hand, "C'mon, I don't want you to get too wrinkly from the water."
Bryan felt a feeling of relief and some another emotion flutter in his chest and stomach. He smiled. "I'm glad... I've been happy, too. I know I already said it, but you're... you're nice to be around." He let his gaze linger for a moment before sniffing and clearing his throat. He felt Theo grab his hand, and nodded fervently at his words, grinning. "Couldn't have that!" He smirked as he pulled himself out of the water, pulling Theo along with him. He ran to the freshly painted towel shed, opened it, and threw a towel to the other boy before using one on his own hair, closing the doors and walking back to where they had gotten out. "Man, I always forget how cold it is once you get out of a pool..."
Theo had a nervous knot in his stomach that was threatening to shake him up entirely. "I, uhm, I don't mind hearing it again..it's..it makes me happy." Theo giggled as they stepped out of the water, "I know..wouldn't want the two of us turning into wrinkly old men." He immediately wrapped himself in the towel, shivering as he pulled it tighter over his long torso, "So cold, " he nodded as his teeth chattered.
Bryan gasped, before shivering in mock disgust. "There would literally be nothing worse. You can't joke about things like premature aging! I can't be old. Nope." He laughed and reached forward, ruffling Theo's hair with his own towel to dry it a bit. "Your hair must take FOREVER to dry... honestly..." He grinned as he continued to at least dry a little bit of the boy's long curls. He finally brought the damp towel to wrap around his slightly shivering body. He noticed that Theo looked pretty cold. "You alright?"
Theo giggled and gave Bryan the rather cliche comment, "Ah, but you'll always be young at heart." He closed his eyes as the shorter boy ran a towel through his hair, laughing softly, "It does take a while. I actually have to use a blow-dryer if I'm in a hurry. A /blow-dryer/..like I'm some kind of girl." Theo nodded, his lips growing blue to due the cold, "I'm great. You cold?"
Bryan took everything it had in him to not roll his eyes at Theo's words, although the grin grew wider. "Stay gold." He joked, He could see Theo's teeth chattering together slightly, and his own fingers were growing numb. He suddenly got an idea. He picked up his clothes and told Theo to get what he needed before taking the boy's hand, leading him down a small path near the pool area. "C'mon, there's somewhere we can go to get out of this cold...!
Theo caught Bryan's infectious smile, "Or we could just move to Neverland and never grow up?" Theo nodded and grabbed his clothes, tying the towel around his waist, not even bothering to feel guilty about stealing it from the country club. He linked his fingers with Bryan's, feeling his heart skip a beat as the boy led him out of the pool side and towards the path, "What do 'ya have in mind?"
