Monster | Hwiyoung & Diana
@mpxdiana
Diana almost could not believe what she had just heard. It was almost insulting, hearing Hwiyoung try to- what, defend himself? Defend his actions? Who the hell did he think he was fooling? Not her, not ever again. There was not a thing on this earth that could redeem him in her eyes.
“You can’t act innocent after what you did. You nearly killed me.“ Not to mention the things he had said; threats that still had her wake up in a cold sweat more often than she would like to admit. She wanted to tell him that he had no idea what he had done to her, but she knew that he knew exactly what he had done. He probably got a sick thrill, knowing that she flinched at the slightest sudden sound or touch and could barely look in the mirror because he had worn down her self-worth to such a startling degree.
“You... You ruined me. You don’t get to pretend you’re not a monster after all that. Get the hell away from me.”
She was right; he did find satisfaction in seeing her broken and messed up beyond repair. In fact, Hwiyoung had made it was bit of a personal goal to screw her up a little more every time that their paths crossed. Perhaps it was petty and he should have just let her go, but he had always been a sore loser and didn’t like not having the final word. It wasn’t that he had ever liked Diana either, seeing her as more of a tool than a human being, but the fact that he once possessed her still stood.
“No, I was angry and rightfully so,” he responded in a calm voice, head tilted as he looked down to her, “There’s nothing shocking about a man being upset that his girlfriend just suddenly decided to leave him. It’s not my fault for having loved you.” But the words were empty because there was no real need for Hwiyoung to act, and they both knew he was lying.
“You need to stop making things up, Diana. Get out of your fantasy land where you keep thinking you’re a victim, and realise that you’re the real bitch here.”
