Toting a bottle of Veuve Clicquot in one hand, Kieran took the stairs two at a time, a small smile playing across his lips. He had flown into Zurich in the early evening, managing to catch the last train to Augustine with only a few minutes to spare. It was a last minute flight change, having practically had to beg his aunt to pay for the ticket transfer.
The oppressive doom and gloom his mother had been shoving down his throat had been too much to handle - he barely lasted a week in the manor before the desperation of his parents began to smother him. But one pleading phone call to his godmother saying he just had to start preparing for the spring semester had freed him a few days early from the bitter pair. They did nothing but wallow - it was pitiful. Years had gone by and they had done absolutely nothing to redeem the family fortune besides begrudge the world for their ‘misfortunes’.
Pushing his parents out of his mind, Kieran’s long stride took him down the hall towards Sylv’s dorm, only light rapping on the door with his knuckles before opening it smoothly.
“Knock knock bitch,” He smiled, his body draped languidly against the door frame as he flipped the bottle of champagne playfully in one hand.
