Over the past few days, Taiga had slowly been collecting things to give to Clovis, things he’d found out in the yard, old things Mister Zion didn’t want anymore, and other bits and pieces he could round up. He was just looking for the right time to present them all to his mate. With a proud look on his face, Taiga took his large box of gifts into Clovis’ room and dropped them onto the floor, looking around for the other. He gave a howl, hoping the other would hear him and come running. And if not, he’d simply wait under his bed in the small nest Clovis always made for himself. Either way, he wasn’t leaving the room until the other saw his gifts. He was a determined little omega on a mission. He’d collected an old pair of shoes, a pack of gum, a dead bird (killed by Taiga himself), an old book cover sleeve (Taiga had no idea what it said, but on the front and back there was a picture of a boy with a lightning bolt on his forehead. Weird), and one of Mister Zion’s old pornography magazines. He’d nabbed one from the garbage and picked out his favorite pictures and put them inside the book sleeve like they were a real book. Maybe Clovis would help him read it! Taiga grinned, looking down at his presents before setting them on the bed and then under the bed to curl up in the nest to wait for Clovis. It wasn’t long before he fell asleep there, and the soft sounds of a snoring omega could be heard echoing throughout the room.
Clovis was doing his daily exercises when he heard the howl. Worried at first that Taiga was hurt, Clovis quickly finished his reps before running back into the house. Not sure where to look first he headed to the wolf's room, and when he didn't spot him there he went to his next. He didn't even have to open the door to know that Taiga was in his room. The snoring could be heard through the door. Opening it softly, he spotted the box on the bed. Curiously he walked over to it and wanted to peak in it but maybe it was not meant for his eyes. He had been beaten before by his old master for looking at things he wasn't supposed too. Instead the wolf crawled under his bed to his nest that he had made, and fond his mate passed out. Smiling, Clovis curled up against him, pressing his bare chest to Taiga's back, wrapping his arms around him. He didn't want to wake him just yet.
