commonplace; jay’s impatience causes him to touch hot machinery without gloves before it’s properly cooled down. commonplace; jay shouts, stumbles back holding his new burn, and trips on something suji left out.
not-so-commonplace; jay uses his burned hand to help break his fall and considers, just briefly, actually dying.
with a tiny scowl etched into his features, he makes his way to the medical bay.
“siwoo,” he says in lieu of greeting, “i’m an idiot.”
