won really hates how fucking similar his life is to ‘high school musical’. from the cliches of his and mingyu’s friendship, as representatives of the “nerd” and “jock” collectives at their high school, right down to the experience last weekend.
at this point, won thinks it’s probably his own fault that his life follows the same plot line as every disney channel original movie ever made, since he had made the conscious decision to go to an open mic night, stand up on stage with a stranger and awkwardly start a duet, just like the opening of the famous 2006 movie. (yes, he’s seen it a few times. yes, he was a fan — was!)
ever since, they’d kept in touch and won can only hope the other doesn’t realise what quite the story his life is. it’s a budding friendship that he finds so refreshingly simple and easygoing, and he’d prefer for it to stay that way. of course, that includes the song recommendation texts at seemingly random times of the day, such as the one he had sent out earlier, to encourage the other to meet him here, at the cheapest noraebang won knows of, for round two. he scuffs his shoes against the floor as he waits, stares down at the list of tracks on his phone. he’s a little early, but he shouldn’t have to wait long.
