God. This is not normal. I went to a high school play and the teacher made a speech about how he was worried their funding as an arts school would be cut. I went to a pride parade earlier this year and it slowly became a protest with everyone holding signs against Trump. 3% of the country was out protesting on April 5. I had to reassure people halfway across the world in a town without access to water that I would be ok in the states. Schools like Harvard have to tell the federal government that they won’t change their curriculum to mirror the “ideals of the administration”. My priest started crying during the homily at todays easter mass because he’s worried his food pantry will be shut down. I love my country. But people are scared like they never have been before.
