Akira was drawn to you when he first saw your page pop up on his recommendations.
And you went to his school.
How lovely!
He would sometimes see you at lunch too! With your friends at your table talking about how your AP teacher assigned some random essay or upcoming events. With your cherry lip gloss on as you sip on the mediocre juice box handed out by the school. He watches as your smile, upwards or downwards would form anytime one of your friends would make a joke.
But he was so quiet!
He would watch your mannerisms silently, the way your eyebrows would furrow whenever somebody said something you didn’t like. He would listen to you hold in a laugh whenever you would start to tell a funny story!
It was only a matter of time before you noticed him in your math class!
How you would always lose your pencils, wood or mechanical they would just be gone. How you just realized there was a boy with glasses next to you.
He must have pencils right?
He noticed the way you looked slightly sheepish asking him for just a pencil.
He handed you one.
Although it was his last so he wrote in pen for the period.
It became tradition!
Everyone would ask you and drain you of pencils so you always would have to ask Akira for a pencil.
He even reserved that specific pencil for you because it was your favorite color!
You would never notice the way his pupils would dilate because his eyes were such a rich color!
You would never notice how his ears went red as you asked him for a pencil everyday.
Oh but he was getting to you!
How he would listen to your complaints and rambles as you did your work, punching in numbers to your calculator.
His nods and hums as he barely made sense of the story.
It didn’t matter if it was just you complaining about how dumb a new rule a teacher implemented or you complaining about school lunch.
You had a bunch of friends and you preferred to speak to him!
He would be a fool if he didn’t recognize how your smile got more fonder every time you looked at him.
You would be twice a fool if you didn’t notice his faint blush on his pale skin.
But neither of you mentioned it, other than the small touch of skin whenever he handed you something and you would crack a smile!!
