Karma’s a Bitch (and so are you)
Ever since she’d watched her father die, Serena had been burning with anger. It fueled her, giving her more power to her attacks and numbed the pain - both physically and emotionally. She had always thought she would eventually just freeze over. But fire could burn away at a soul quicker and more thoroughly than ice could. And so she welcomed the flames. She’d turn the world to ashes with them.
It had been easy for her to stalk a lone Death Eater through the manor and into an empty room. It had been even easier to lock the little bastard in the room with her before they could escape - or realize how much danger they were in. Serena had felt a sick spike of pleasure at hearing the lock click into place behind her, like the sound of a coffin closing. “Are you going to take off that mask now, coward? Or will l have to rip it off your dead body once I’m done blasting a hole through your chest?”
