This Wild, Wild Love (It Can't be Tamed) || BryJen

Jensen really could not wait any longer. As soon as she wasn't forced to be in her mermaid form, she and Bryson went to City Hall and got their marriage license in order. In fact, they just eloped right then and there. They were like impatient teenagers, so excited to be able to call themselves husband and wife again. She supposed that they could have waited until they made sure everyone in their family knew they were back. She was ninety percent sure everyone knew they were back. Of course, there was a ten percent chance that the news might not have reached everyone, namely distant siblings and most likely Jensen's parents. She wondered, for a brief moment, if her parents' relationship with the rest of the family had improved any from that road trip they had taken before Bryson and Jensen's deaths. Despite all of their flaws, they were still her parents and they were still family. And that was what was so important to her -- family. She never wanted to lose that sense of family with their kids. It would have broken her heart otherwise.

So yeah, maybe they should have waited. But there was always the wedding ceremony. Bryson and Jensen were practically professionals when it came to planning weddings now. They had so many weddings, they almost lost count. Almost. (Jensen kept a scrapbook dedicated to their weddings, so yeah, they kept track.) The point was that their family was certainly welcome to celebrate their marriage (again) at the wedding. They had already decided that they would have another one, and with their excitement levels through the roof, it was very likely that their wedding would be soon. With the amount of money that they had, it was very possible for them to throw an extravagant wedding in a short amount of time. They learned very quickly that people will acquiesce for the right price, and they weren't lacking in money. Hell, Jensen had let a bunch of pirates steal money from them. 

So that was why Bryson and Jensen were sitting in a bakery shop at that moment, tasting different cakes. "I don't really like that one. I mean, for our wedding, I mean. It's really very good, but I don't think it's right for the occasion," Jensen was saying, adding quickly that the cake itself was quite delicious in front of the pastry chef. So far, they had tried eight different cake samples, the two of them unable to decide on one. But they sure as hell had fun trying them. It really wasn't a surprise that they acted like children around cake and when they were high on 'just eloped' endorphins.

Keeping his head down, Clovis walked around the pound trying to get his mind off of everything. He hated being back here, hated it. All the self confidence he had gotten from Zion was gone and he was back to his old ways, scared, submissive and alone. Deep down he knew that it was going to take a lot more for him to trust someone like that again. Zion had told him he wouldn't leave and look at where he was now. Back in the pound. Wiping a tear form his eye he didn't notice he was about to run into someone until he physically did so.

Because I Spit Hot Fire || BryJen

It had been a whole month since Bryson and Jensen had been reunited, and only a few days since Bryson walked away a free man -- or well, as free as he could be. The probation terms were that he had a tracking anklet and had a five mile radius to travel within, as well as checking in with his probation officer once a month for two years. And so far, with the few days after the trial, Bryson and Jensen took back all of their property and proceeded to fuck like bunnies. Everyone knew it was best to stay away for at least a week, letting them sort out all of their emotions and all of that pent up passion before coming back to talk to them. 

(Which was ridiculous because Bryson and Jensen would gladly put aside what they were doing to spend time with family, thank you very much.)

The days approaching the one month mark, Jensen found her hands shaking a lot more, her breathing getting more and more shallow, and her skin getting rather flaky. For the life of her, she could not figure out. She supposed it was a side effect of staying human so long -- she had never stayed in this state for this long. For all of this life, she was a mermaid, and that was all that she had known. Now with her old memories back, she assumed life would proceed as normal as a human.

Well, she found that she was wrong when she doubled over, gasping and choking on air.

If You Didn't See Me (Then You Weren't Looking Hard Enough) || BryJen

It had been a couple weeks since Bryson and Jensen saw each other. Jensen had a lot on her plate, what with dealing with the consequences of her behavior when it came to her father and making amends and carrying out her responsibilities. There wasn't a day that went by that she didn't think of the extremely attractive pirate that had given her a kiss on the cheek. She could still remember that moment where his lips touched her cheek. Her mind went blank and her heart started pounding as if it were going to jump out of her chest. She could remember the stupid giggle she gave in response. Later, she would kick (metaphorically) herself over that. She was a Siren, for crying out loud! It was in her nature to seduce, not be seduced and giggle and act like a blushing school girl. (Because that was exactly what she did.)

Ever since leaving Bryson and his crew, she'd started getting flashes of the two of them together, doing various things like performing on stage or modeling or stripping. She couldn't believe that her mind was coming up with such strange thoughts and daydreams, but hey, in each one, they looked happy. And she wouldn't mind it if she could have that with him. They hadn't spent a lot of time together, but the time they did spend, Jensen found herself enjoying his presence and craving it more. He was interesting and charismatic and easy to talk to. It was hard to find anyone like that, human or not. 

She didn't know where Bryson was, but she hoped that he was doing okay. She would have gone and sought him out if it weren't for everything that was keeping her tethered to her kingdom. Layla and Jensen had finally brought up the idea of letting Layla rule; to put it mildly, their father didn't like the idea. It was most likely because he wasn't the one who came up with it. He had an ego problem -- Jensen supposed it came from ruling the kingdom by himself for so long. She never wanted to be like that, nor did she want Layla to be like that. Anyway, with how much time had passed by, he'd been warming up to the idea, especially since his eyes have been opened, seeing how effectively Layla performed her duties while noticing how Jensen wasn't exactly happy. It could be that his mind would soon be changed and Jensen would be released from Queen-In-Training obligations and get to live simply as a mermaid princess, off to do what she was wont to do. 

She had a free day from her duties, so she took it upon herself to go find Bryson. She swam in the seas before coming across a ship. She surfaced, swimming closer to the ship to see if she recognized anyone from the crew to confirm whether or not if it was Bryson's.

Road Trips and Family Shenanigans || BryJen

Jensen had never been anything but an optimist. Almost an idealist, even. Really, she was a dreamer at heart. That was why she thought having this huge family road trip was a fantastic idea. It was nice, having all of their kids and their parents in one bus (well, two because there were two of them) and just spending time with them. Most of all, it just gave them a chance to spend time with one another. With all of their kids grown up, moved out of the house and living like adults, they were all leading their own lives. It was nice to have time to reconnect, to be under one spot as if they had always been a family that lived under one roof. Ethan and Danielle were in the same bus as her and Bryson and Blythe and Sean were in the other, just because they felt that was a better split. (And they could only take so much of Blythe and Sean, and BK was the best at handling them without wanting to tear her own hair out. It was the lawyer in her.)

Ethan and Danielle were sitting at one of the tables, just talking over lunch about their lives and how everything was going. After all this time, they were finally in a good place, friends once again. They both knew that nothing would ever happen between them, not with the past that they had and certainly not now with the people they were in love with. Alex and Shay were talking to each other while entertaining Ricky. He was adorable and could not stop squealing excitedly at almost everything. He didn't get carsick like Alex used to get, fortunately. In fact, he was at his best when he was in the car or when he was being pushed in his stroller. Meanwhile, Siera was sulking in the corner because Bryson and Jensen made the decision to separate the twins from creating disastrous pranks. (But they figured they would get over it and continue on with pranks anyway, so maybe putting one pranky twin on one bus and the other on another bus wasn't exactly the greatest idea.)

Either way, their family was all there, scattered around in different spots in their (double-decker) buses. And maybe along the way, they'd switch spots, one kid switching with another kid for spots on a bus and whatnot. Jensen leaned back in the passenger's seat next to Bryson with a very satisfied smile (and the smile was not entirely because of their quickie at the gas station, of course). "I'm happy." She told him.
