Entering the army was something Yuriy had expected to do since he was a child. His family had put that burden on his shoulders once he was old enough to understand words. But now, with his family non-existent to him, he could only heave sighs as he patrolled and surveyed certain areas with his small troupe.
He had never liked people, not since he found out no one could be trusted. This was why he brought the least amount of men with him every time he went out, not wanting a large number in case they’d all turn their back against him. Never did he think that this’d be a mistake waiting to happen.
Yuriy, with his men, were told to check whether or not an area near their base had any spies or Suryan soldiers. Most assured him that it was simply another harmless surveying but his injured troops laying on the ground as he was surrounded by grunts had told him otherwise. He stood his ground, bending the air as he pushed most of them away. Though he was powerful enough to last long in a battle, being unarmed and surrounded in a 8-to-1 fight wasn’t something he was used to.
“Damn it.” He huffed, blowing two soldiers away and surrounding himself in air to ward them away as he tried to rest. “Just what I needed to brighten up my mood, yeah?” Releasing the air orb and blowing the eight of them away, he made a dash for it and tried to take them out one by one. This’d be easier if at least one or two of my men weren’t incapacitated.
