Jason took Lainee's hand in his and led her back to his apartment, all the while trying to think of what song he wanted to sing for her. There were so many songs he had written for her, some he was proud of and others that were just stupid or sounded desperate. He wanted to pick a good one, one she would be proud of. He held her close as they walked into his apartment. He walked into the other room to grab his guitar and then went back into the living room and sat next to her and started tuning it. "This is a song I wrote about you when I was 12. It was right before I knew I was about to see you again when you came for the summer," he told her.
