Matteo sat cross-legged on the bench, bandages, tape and a small tube of antiseptic cream laid out in front of him. Now that classes had started up again, he was using his ability more then he had been previously and was using it to a greater degree, which had led to some painful drawbacks. The burns hadn’t spread far, just up to his wrist. Matteo knew that anything more would impede how he moved and would draw greater attention, he wasn’t an idiot, after all. He also knew they would disappear within the next few days. He started on his dominant hand first; figuring it would be easier to do the harder one first. He carefully rubbed the cream over the dark, angry red line- grimacing when he pushed too hard. Matteo worked to bandage his fingers, leaving the tips open so that he could still do things. He could always wrap those at night.
It wasn’t pretty when it was done, but it was good enough. He was just about to start on the next one when a shadow fell over him, blocking out the sun. Matteo glanced up, expecting just about anyone other then the one who stood there. “Oh, hey?” Matteo asked, frowning slightly “Can I..help you? Did I steal your seat or something?”
