Fight Someone Your Own Size || Nora&Reza
Smoke wafted in front of his face as he walked, air still clinging onto the last of the summer warmth. Less sun meant good news for Reza, even though he didn’t really have much reason to leave his apartment these days, except for the occasional shift here and there for some spending money. Well, there hadn’t been much reason but this thing with Eddie and now Nora returning was bringing some much needed ‘shit to do’ back into his life.
It had probably been the thought of Nora that had took charge of his walk and led his feet in the direction of Wall Space, an art gallery he still very much appreciated even now, three years or so later. Nora was definitely odd but she didn’t give a fuck, which was the freshest perspective ever. Despite all that, Reza realized that it was way too late for Wall Space to even be open now as he neared the building, the time nearing midnight. With a sigh, he finished off the cigarette and littered the stub, hands stuffing into his pockets in preparation for walking home.
The ever present paranoia had him side-eyeing the stranger crossing the street way before he got close, shoulders tensing once the distance between the two grew shorter and shorter. Good thing, too, as the stranger’s small frame bumped into his own with no shortage of strength -- strength that definitely didn’t match the petite woman’s build. Reza stumbled back a step, feet flexing to run right before he was immediately tackled to the ground. Right, this was why he just stayed in his fucking apartment.
His elbow swung over, meeting something that felt like bone and was hopefully a jaw, body scraping against the pavement as he struggled to get to his feet. Even after the decent amount of self defence training from his slayer “buddies”, Reza really didn’t want to test his luck with this particular slayer, much preferring to flee than to fight. The slayer didn’t agree, it seemed, snatching his jacket and yanking him back to the ground just as he’d managed to find his feet. So apparently he wasn’t running away.
