Toby & Dahlia √ Chapter 1: Walk with me.
Tobias was a mystery to Dahlia. The boy was so dark, in his eyes she had seen the same demons she was battling as they spoke since the first time about death and guilt. It was scary and personal and a little bit upsetting. If Toby would have been ugly, things would be different. Dahlia liked what she was seeing if she had to admit, and it was that same mystery that was itching, she wanted to spend time with him. Not only because she liked him, but because he was hiding things behind those eyes and that pain that she needed to know about. It wasn't prying, it was curiosity.
"Come on" said Dahlia. "I know a place we can go to chill". And indeed she did. Outside there was this little place she knew about. It was mostly empty because not a lot of people liked to go outside, the ones that did, most of them weren't allowed without supervision, and the little few that remained, like Dahlia and she was hoping, Toby, could go there unattended. And it wasn't like they weren't being watched. They were. But it was from a safe distance, without orderlies breathing on their necks.
She smiled at Toby and stepped outside. The sun was going down and already the pink started to show on the twilight clouds. The sunset was a little bit romantic, she hoped he wasn't thinking the same, at least she hope he didn't thought she was thinking about seducing him, that was never the plan, she wanted to get close to him. She didn't want to trick him or anything. She was sure he didn't like her, and she was sure he was just doing this to take his mind off the things in were he was drowning. Still, the view was great, and the air smelled nice.
There it was... across the field between two weeping willows. "Hey, there it is..." she said a little bit excited. The perfect place to relax and be some what alone in this little personal hell. It was a little bit of a secret reading place, the gazebo.
