That's Where I Belong
INVOLVED: Blaine Anderson & Sebastian Smythe
TIME: Tuesday, December 3, 2013 - 3:00-8:00
LOCATION: WMHS Parking Lot, Sebastian's car, Blaine's bedroom
SUMMARY: Sebastian comes over to Blaine's house for a little study session
Blaine said his goodbyes to his friends at the door, and immediately spotted Sebastian next to his sleek, black car. Always impressive. Without making himself out to look like too much of a fool, he refrained from a giant grin and wave, and crossed the parking lot to meet him. "Hey! I'm- What's the matter?" Blaine's eyebrows knit together, afraid he'd already screwed up what could have been a lovely afternoon.
Sebastian waved back, lacking enthusiasm. "Nothing. Just something with San. Who did you share our get together with?" He raised a delicate eyebrow at Blaine.
"I- Who did I tell? Was I not supposed to?" Blaine took a step back, lips turning downward.
Sebastian shrugged. "No, doesn't really matter. She's just fucking pissed," he sighed heavily, running a hand through his hair before turning his attention back to Blaine. "Anyway, I'll just follow your car. You can lead the way."
"Oh. That- That was my fault, Sam asked if I could hang out tonight, and I told him I had plans with you. He has a big mouth, quite literally," Blaine huffed. "...I'm sorry. I understand if you don't- I mean-" He shoved his hands into his pockets, looking away.
"Evans. Why am I not surprised," he narrowed his eyes, jaw clenching. He's gonna get back at him for this later, more specifically, on the field. Sebastian let out a breath and leaned against his car, eyes on Blaine. "If I don't what?"
"If you're angry..." Blaine glanced up at him, stomach doing nervous flips; he'd messed up and the two hadn't even reached his house yet. "We don't have to hang out tonight- I don't want to get you into trouble with your friend for breaking boundaries or what have you. If that's what she's upset about."
"She can be upset if she wants, I don't care about that bullshit," he took out his phone and checked if he had any new messages from his best friend, and when he saw nothing, he shoved it back into his coat pocket. "No, I already agreed to this, so let's do it." Sebastian reassured Blaine as he hopped inside his car. Lowering the passenger window, he leaned on the seat a little so that he can see Blaine more easily. "So am I gonna follow your car or just meet you at your house?"
"I- I don't have a car..." Blaine admitted, ducking down to meet his eye line. "Would you mind giving me a ride? Since you apparently already know where I live for some strange reason, which I'm afraid to question."
"Good, never question my ways," Sebastian grinned, amusement taking over his features. "Sometimes I forget not everyone has the luxury," he raised an eyebrow at Blaine before unlocking the passenger seat door.
Blaine made sure the Sebastian could see him roll his eyes before climbing into the car beside him. He let out a low whistle, before smiling his way. "Nice." He didn't mention that the reason he didn't have a car wasn't because he couldn't afford it, but because he'd failed his driving test too many times.
"Merci," Sebastian starts his car and backs out of the parking space, and out of the school lot. "Up or down?" He asked after a few minutes, eyes never leaving the road.
"Excuse me?" Blaine's eyebrows rose as he stared at him.
sebastian: "Just answer the question," his lips curved up into an easy smile.
blaine: "...Up?"
"Nope, wrong answer." Sebastian shook his head in faux disapproval before hitting a button on the side of the steering wheel. All of a sudden, the roof to Sebastian's car lowered, and they're left riding in a convertible. "If you're cold, I apologize for that. But I always prefer driving like this." He closes his eyes briefly and lets his head relax against the headrest.
"It's December!" Blaine couldn't help but laugh and hit his arm playfully. "Are you crazy?"
Sebastian's grin doesn't falter."Open the dashboard for me."
"Is there something inappropriate in there? Are these your seduction methods?" Blaine raised an eyebrow, but did as he asked anyway.
Sebastian snorted with a roll of his eyes. He caught the opened carton of cigarette that fell out of the dashboard from the corner of his eyes, and with trained movements, he grabbed a pack and a lighter without having to divert his eyes away from the road. "That's why I have this," he waved it lightly in front of Blaine, eyes glinting. When yellow turned to red, the car came to a slow halt in the middle of an intersection, giving Sebastian the perfect opportunity to light a cigarette. He blew a few puffs of smoke to get it started before turning to his side, offering one to the other boy. "It's obvious that you don't, but - ?"
Blaine laughed out right, then realized he was serious. "Oh. Oh, no, thank you, I don't smoke." He shook his head with a polite smile.
"I know, just thought you might want to try," he smirked with a cigarette dangling from his lips. As soon as the light turned green, Sebastian continued to drive down the road, letting the wind blow his hair back. "I actually used a GPS the last time I came to your house, which street was it again?"
"Just a few more blocks up this way, then a left - I don't smoke, I have to take care of my voice," Blaine explained with a little nod.
Sebastian turned to the left after driving a few blocks down, following the other's instructions. "Oh, right, forgot you had your little glee club to worry about. Well, I play crosse, you don't see me rejecting it."
"Don't say it like that," a frown settled onto Blaine's lips. "It's just a few more blocks up this way - hopefully my fingers and toes make it all in one piece."
"There are extra gloves in the compartment, I think," Sebastian offered.
"Oh, thank you," Blaine opened the compartment, a timid smile gracing his lips, as he pulled the gloves on. It didn't take long for the two to arrive at Blaine's house, and the moment they did, Blaine led Sebastian up to his room - not wanting to risk lingering in the living room to check out any embarrassing photos from his childhood. He gave a nervous laugh when he remembered it was a bit of a mess, and quickly threw some dirty laundry into the basket in the corner and shoved a few of his journals into his bedside drawer. "Sorry, it's not perfect," he pulled off his scarf and jacket, being sure to shove the gloves in his jacket pocket to remember to return them to Sebastian later. "Make yourself at home."
Sebastian let himself survey the area as he took of his coat off and rolled up the sleeves of his shirt. "Not bad," Sebastian sat down on the edge of the bed, his coat next to him, before letting his back hit the soft comforter and let out a low moan. "God, I didn't even realize how tired I am," he groaned, stretching his arms out on either side of him.
His hands resting on his vanity, he couldn't help but openly stare at Sebastian on his bed. Sebastian. On his bed. It was suddenly much warmer in his room than usual, and Blaine found himself chewing on his bottom lip. How many times had he imagined this exact scenario? Now would be the perfect - and possibly only opportunity to take advantage of it. He swallowed and tried to find his voice, though he had no idea what to say. He took a deep breath and settled on, "we don't have to study right away." His voice was much shakier than he'd liked it to have been.
Sebastian hummed in approval. "Sounds good, actually," he drawled. "Not really in the mood to study anyway." He let his eyes flutter close before his fingers wrapped around the bottom of his black sweater and starts to pull the it off of his body, his back arching slightly to get it over his head. "It's kind of hot in your room, is your heater on?" He folded the sweater carelessly and tossed it on top of his coat, leaving him with only a dark blue vneck.
"Yeah..." The word spilled from Blaine's lips, and he suddenly forgot his train of thought - which seemed to happen very often with Sebastian around. After staring for a ridiculous amount of time, he shook his head and pried his eyes away from Sebastian. "I can turn the heat down. Would you mind if I played some music?" He headed over to his stereo and plugged up his phone, turning to Pandora and finding the Coldplay station he'd recently added.
Sebastian's lips pull up into a smile at the familiar song that started playing. "I like this song."
Blaine returned the smile and turned to lean against his desk and, again, stare at the other boy. He already knew that Sebastian was beautiful. Every moment he spent staring at Sebastian during school hours, he'd studied his every freckle, every dimple, his sharp, but very cute nose, his long legs - but up close like this, so relaxed, so at ease... He wanted to get back to that moment in the auditorium, right before the bell rang. He glanced back at the stereo, thinking back to the numerous movies he'd seen, all the first dates he'd watched characters go on. He wanted to ask Sebastian if he'd like to dance, but he was sure the other would laugh at him, maybe even pick up and leave. Instead, he rocked on his heels, and took a step toward the bed. "I've got some movies we could watch...video games..."
Sebastian hands moved up and down Blaine's comforter, stretching like a cat. "Movie sounds good. What do you have in mind?" He ran a hand through his hair as he propped up on his elbow, eyes on the other boy.
"Do you like Disney?" Blaine blurted out, much too distracted to care about being embarrassed about his large collection of Disney movies. He wanted to join Sebastian on his bed, but he didn't want to make the other uncomfortable.
Sebastian cocked his head to the side, amused. "Of course, you would like Disney. Uh, sure? I guess, I don't really care."
"You don't care?" Finally, Blaine snapped out of it just a little to give him a fake, shocked expression. "About Disney? Really?" 1:30 PM
Sebastian rolled his eyes, his hand rubbing the side of his neck with a playful, mocking expression. "I'm sorry not all of us had an enchanted childhood."
"Well, we're going to fix that right now," he crossed the room and knelt down under his television, digging through his numerous movies to find a perfect one. "Which do you prefer, princess, Pixar, or surprise?"
Sebastian's eyes immediately land on Blaine's ass; being openly gay in a town like Ohio barely gave Sebastian good opportunities to check out decent fellow gay men, but Blaine was something else. Especially his ass, which Sebastian had unashamedly stared at once or twice while walking down the hallway. And now, he has a perfect view of it. His lips pulled into a more mischievous smile. "Has anyone ever told you how great your ass is?"
Blaine immediately fell backwards, back against the side of his bed, and his cheeks bright, bright red. "Um, no?" He practically squeaked, eyes still on the DVDs. Finally, he'd gotten the rest of the compliment from the other night, but this time, in person. He needed a few moments to catch his breath. 1:39 PM
"Well, you do, so now you know," Sebastian chuckled quietly, straightening up to take both his boots off.
"Thank you..." It was difficult for Blaine's eyes to concentrate on anything, knowing that Sebastian's own eyes had been on his backside just moments earlier. He wanted to tell him that he thought the same about his, and about other aspects of his body, but he was sure that he'd heard it all before, and it'd be nothing special coming from him. Instead, he moved back to his knees and searched his DVD collection again. "Any protests to Cars?"
"Only that it wasn't as good as the other Pixar movies, but sure," Sebastian got more comfortable on the bed, letting his back lean against the headboard comfortably.
Blaine's head whipped around, his eyebrows popping up. "You 'don't care' about Disney?"
"You literally just asked this two minutes ago, Anderson. Such a drama queen," Sebastian rolled his eyes, his legs fully stretching in front of him on the mattress.
"So you've seen Cars, then." He turned all the way around and propped either elbow on his bed, his eyes on Sebastian. "What haven't you seen?"
"That one with the girl's hair getting long and stuff, I think," Sebastian's expression twisted in deep thought suddenly, trying to recall the name of the movie.
"Tangled," Blaine corrected, raising an impatient eyebrow. "Which is in my top five. Would you like to watch that?"
"Sure," Sebastian replied airily.
Blaine stood and set up his DVD player, before shutting off the music and smiling at the movie began. He stared at Sebastian for a long while, still deliberating on where to sit. "...Would you mind making room?" He finally spoke up, eyebrows raising expectantly.
Sebastian laughed quietly. "It's your bed." He moved to a little to the side, making just enough space for Blaine to sit right next to him, his index finger motioned with a playful 'come hither' gesture to Blaine. 1:59 PM
Blaine let out a nervous laugh, before taking a few more steps forward and finally joining the other on his bed. He kicked off his shoes and slowly scooted back to the headboard, his hands on his lap, and his eyes on Sebastian. "Comfortable?" He asked, cheeks pink again. 2:02 PM
"Very," Sebastian replied, his breath tickling Blaine's neck due to their proximity while his eyes remained on the screen.
A chill ran down Blaine's spine and he found himself chewing on his bottom lip again. He tried his best to focus his attention on the screen, but Sebastian's warmth right next to him was far too distracting. "Good... Though, it is a little warm in here, you're right." He sat up and pulled off his cardigan, revealing a tight button up shirt. He tossed it into his laundry basket and got comfortable against his pillows again.
Sebastian let his eyes rake over Blaine's upper body, licking his lips as he did so. "So is this how you usually set the mood for your encounters? Have the heater up and watch Disney movies?" He mused, eyes shifting from the tv to the other boy.
"Encounters?" Blaine's tone was genuinely curious, his eyes innocent as he looked over at Sebastian.
"Encounters, partners for the night, fuck buddies, guys you're having sex with, etcetera etcetera," Sebastian clarified the obvious.
"Is that-" Blaine swallowed, the gravity of the situation settling in. "Is that what you think this is?" It was a sincere question, his voice breathy and his cheeks turning red. He'd hoped and of course that was what he wanted this to be, but he hadn't thought that's what Sebastian had wanted.
Sebastian's eyes locked with Blaine's. "Why? Is that what this is? You were the one who invited me over," he shrugged casually.
"I- I was under the impression we were going to study," Blaine sat up a little, mouth hanging open, and eyes flicking to Sebastian's lips. What was holding him back? Why was he so afraid? He'd ran over this scenario is his mind a thousand times, and it had never wound up like this. What was he waiting for?
Sebastian's lips parted slightly, his hand finding its way on Blaine's thigh. "Then let's study," he countered, but sounding like sharing notes was the last thing either of them were going to do.
A very small and nervous sound escaped Blaine's throat, and almost immediately, he sat all the way up and pulled his legs to his chest. "Sebastian," he finally broke eye contact and stared down at his bed. What was the matter with him? Sebastian was right in front of him, his hand actually on his body, ready to do whatever Blaine wanted, and he was denying him? His eyes fell shut, and he realized what the problem was. Him. Blaine was the problem.
"It's fine," Sebastian patted Blaine's thigh, his expression both sincere but also growing more and more distant. He removed his hand and put more space between them, thinking that he had done too much once again. Which was becoming a constant occurrence between the two of them. He didn't say another word as he continued to watch the movie, but after a minute or so, he decided to straighten up, a hand grabbing his coat from the edge of the bed. "I better head off, maybe Santana will take me back if I give her a basket of breadsticks."
Blaine's expression quickly filled with hurt, his eyebrows knitting together. "That's it?" He couldn't help but ask, grabbing the remote and shutting the movie off. "That- That was all you were here for?" Again, that unfamiliar ache made its way into Blaine's chest, and he still wasn't sure what it meant.
Sebastian's features twisted in confusion, halting his actions as he kneels on Blaine's bed to face the other boy. "What?"
Blaine studied Sebastian's expression for a long while, trying to understand. "...I thought we were going to watch a movie and you could copy my notes...why are you leaving?" He shook his head slightly.
"I just thought, you got...uncomfortable or something?" Sebastian genuinely looked lost. "So I decided to leave to save you from having to deal with me for a few more hours," he joked, grabbing his sweater and starts to unfold it.
"No!" Blaine sat up and gently lowered his hand with the sweater. "No. I just... I've never..." He let out a sigh and tucked his hands underneath himself. "...You know all those rumors about me? About how I'm a virgin?" He paused just the slightest bit before the word, as if it were some sort of curse. "Well, it's not just that." He swallowed, not looking back up at Sebastian. "I've never...done anything." He felt pathetic. So much more than pathetic.
Sebastian's expression softened as Blaine revealed his emotions and secrets. He had heard the rumors; people around the cafeteria table and the lacrosse field making jokes about how the 'Nude Erections' are all a bunch of loser virgins. It's true that Sebastian despised about half the people in that club, but he'd never brought himself to laugh with others - maybe about some other insults but never about that, especially not when the joke fell on Blaine. "I'm - sorry I didn't mean to...touch you without your permission or anything," Sebastian didn't really know how to deal with the situation, all he knew was that his insides twisted into something that he couldn't quite name at the sight of the other boy in front of him, exposing himself like this. "You're sixteen, why are you ashamed that you haven't had sex with a guy? I know that's just rich coming from me, I'm sure you've heard my side of the rumor mill," he attempted a smile towards Blaine, to try and diffuse the other's sadness.
"What? No- No," Blaine moved forward, his eyebrows knitting together. "I- I admire that about you. Your confidence, your ability to flaunt what you have. You're bold and charming and you use it to your advantage... That's not something to be ashamed of, either." He stared into Sebastian's eyes again, his words sincere. "Sometimes I wish I was as exciting as you are."
Sebastian lets himself stare at Blaine before scoffing. "You misunderstood, I'm not ashamed of who I am," he let out a small laugh. "Let them call me a slut, manwhore, or my personal favorite, the gay who can lay," he shook his head, amused. "I'm proud of who I am, Anderson. Thank you for stroking my ego once again, though," he winked. "And what do you think I've been trying to get you to do? But you don't prefer the wild side, you've made that perfectly clear more than once."
Blaine finally broke out with a laugh, leaning forward a bit as he did. "Maybe someday I'll give it a try," his words obviously had a second meaning, with the way he looked up at him behind his long eyelashes. Sebastian was nothing what so many people thought him to be at school. He was kind, and sincere, sweet, and incredibly gentlemanly, not to mention charming. He was truly the full package. ...Would it be so bad to share his first kiss with him? No. It'd be quite the opposite, actually.
Sebastian kept his eyes on Blaine. "So do you want my help?"
"I-" "Blainey, dear!" A bright and bubbly voice called from downstairs and Blaine's entire face went white. He'd completely lost track of time. "Just- Just- Just hold that thought-" He placed a gentle hand on Sebastian's chest before slowly moving off the bed and slipping out of his room to the top of the steps. "Hi, mom!" "Sweetheart, come downstairs and help me with these groceries, please- It's not so many- Why do you look like you've seen a ghost? Is something the matter? Were you- Oh, Blaine-!" His mother began. "I have company, mother!" Blaine's voice cracked a bit, his cheeks quickly filling with color again. "Oh, I see. Not Sam or Tina, I'm guessing," her voice became soft, a lot like Blaine's, but with a hint of something else. It was obvious where Blaine got his sassy-ness from. "No, not Sam or Tina," Blaine mumbled on his way down the stairs. "I'll behave then..." Her voice trailed off as she headed for the kitchen and began putting away groceries.
Sebastian's eyes go wide as Blaine and his mother humorously exchanged words. He had to bite his tongue to stop himself from bursting out laughing. Instead, he tried to wear the most schooled expression he could muster, as he followed Blaine out his room and down the stairs. Poking his head out of the doorway, he called out to Blaine, still trying to stifle his laughter. "Should I - " he attempts to clear his throat, but his tone still laced with pure amusement. "Help you with her groceries and stuff?"
"No!" Blaine hissed a bit too quickly. "I- I mean, no- no, it's okay, go ahead upstairs. I'll- I'll be up in a minute," he nodded, already trying to look behind Sebastian to see if his mother was heading back out. "Pardon me, dear," Blaine's mother's voice rang from behind Sebastian, a delighted smile on her face. "You boys are going to catch a cold without some jackets on. Excuse me, honey," she moved past Sebastian and grabbed a few bags from the car. "I'll finish putting it away, if you two bring the rest inside. Introductions during dinner, I don't want anything to spoil." She headed back toward the kitchen. Blaine flinched a little at her mention of dinner. He hadn't asked him to stay yet, and now he might have felt obligated. "...If you don't mind helping?" Blaine wore an apologetic expression as he grabbed a couple of bags.
"Oh - dinner - I - " Sebastian's head whipped back and forth, from Blaine to his mother, trying to understand what had just been offered to him. He settled on flashing Mrs. Anderson his most charming smile before walking towards Blaine. "Yeah, sure," he replied easily. He carried the remaining bags in his arms effortlessly and makes his way towards the kitchen. "Sorry to surprise you with my visit, Mrs. Anderson. Hope you don't mind me being here," he placed the groceries on the counter, his tone sweet and polite as he addressed Blaine's mother.
"Not at all! All of Blainey's friends are welcome here, any time. Are you staying for dinner-? I didn't catch your name."
"Sebastian." Blaine answers for him, his tone almost warning. "Sebastian Smythe?" His mother gives him an almost unreadable look, her eyebrows high on her head, before she nods. "Nice to meet you, Sebastian, I'm Stephanie- No need for 'Missus Anderson', Steph will do just fine," she held out a hand. Behind Sebastian's back, Blaine gave her a very stern warning look, but her smile remained polite.
Sebastian flashed her a bright smile. "Pleasure's all mine, Steph. You have a lovely home," he complimented, shaking her hand with a gentle grip. "Unfortunately, I can't stay for dinner. I've already made plans with my friend, unfortunately for me. Since I'd have to miss your cooking," he said with a hand on his chest, showing off his 'genuine' regret. "Maybe some other time?"
Blaine's expression turned amused behind Sebastian's back, and Stephanie concealed a similar one as her smile widened.
"Some other time then, I hope?" Her eyebrows rose and she looked from her son to Sebastian a few times and Blaine cleared his throat loudly. "We'll see, mom, we're going to get back to studying, okay?" The last syllable he said through gritted teeth as he grabbed Sebastian by the elbow and gently pulled him back up toward the stairs. "I'll bring up snacks a little later!" She called after them, her smile turning amused.
"Your garlic breads, maybe?" Sebastian asked hopefully, giving her a small wave as Blaine lead him back upstairs. "So that's your mom."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Blaine suddenly got a little too defense, his eyebrows slamming together. He turned on his heel, the door shutting behind Sebastian, so the other was almost pinned against the door.
Sebastian let out a small chuckle. "It means she's cute. I like her," he smiled at Blaine. "So that's how mother's are. Lopez's is almost the same as yours, but Steph is much more," he thinks of the right word. "You."
"Oh..." Blaine smiled after a moment, his eyebrow raising a bit smugly. "So you think I'm cute, then?" That could have gone much, much worse. Blaine's mother knew a lot about Sebastian, all of which she'd heard from Blaine himself. Though he'd never admit it, he was closer to his mother than most of his classmates. He told her just about everything, no matter what. If Sebastian hadn't liked her, or had acted rude...but he did, and he was sweet and adorably charming, just like Blaine should have expected.
Sebastian's eyes stare into Blaine's hazel ones, his own still dancing with delight. "Eh," he replied playfully, before tapping Blaine's nose lightly.
Blaine's nose wrinkled under Sebastian's touch, his smile turning lopsided. "Now, do you want to actually study? You practically slept geometry away today."
"Like I was the only one," he pushed himself off the door, his hands on Blaine's elbows and pushing him back gently, so that he could stand up without knocking the other one over. "I guess," he sighed dramatically.
"Who took notes, hmm?" Blaine grabbed his bag and hopped up onto the bed, pulling out his things - one of which being his journal, which he set to the side. He thumbed through his geometry notebook, searching for the day's notes, which he easily found, due to the color coordinated organization on the side. "Here you are, sir." He laid it flat out in front of him, while he busied himself with another notebook. He'd completely forgotten about homework, for the first time in his entire high school career. It was worth it.
Sebastian glanced around Blaine's room before realizing he had forgotten to bring his bag up with him. He groaned quietly before crossing his legs on the bed opposite of the other boy, eyeing Blaine's notebook in front of him. "You don't mind sparing a paper for me, will you?" He flashed Blaine a grin before opening a random page on Blaine's Geometry notebook and ripping a paper out, but not before noticing how completely organized Blaine's notes are as he flipped through the pages. "Wow, you really take this lecture stuff seriously, huh?"
"I take school seriously," he corrected, before realizing that Sebastian as going through it. "Hey-!" Blaine snatched it, cheeks glowing once again. "I- Sorry, I just have it very organized." He opened it back up to the day's notes and laid it down again. The truth was, he knew he'd scribbled Sebastian's name down more than once and couldn't let the other see that. After a moment, he went back to his history homework.
Sebastian brought both hands up in the air. "Woah, easy." He settled down, letting the silence fall between them before once again, he had noticed that he didn't have a pen with him. "You wouldn't also happen to have an extra pen on you, would you?"
"Of course," he motioned toward his bag, concentrating on his textbook. After delving into his history notes, he realized that skipping out on homework tonight hadn't been such a great idea. He knew this wouldn't take him too long, and Sebastian would most likely be finished copying his notes by the time he wrapped it up.
Sebastian went through Blaine's bag, digging a little before finally fishing out a pen. Sebastian remained quiet, focusing on copying the notes properly. He couldn't afford to fail any subject, so he makes sure to force himself to pay more attention in Geometry, even though the subject didn't interest him in the least. His eyebrows knitted together after jotting a few notes down, his wrist starting to hurt but he had managed to finish it. "There. Done," he let out a quiet sigh of relief.
Blaine closed his text book just a few moments later with a small smile. "Me too! Dare I say, we deserve a reward," he gave him a small grin, and leaned toward him, going for the remote just behind him by his pillow.
Sebastian raised an eyebrow as Blaine brushed against him. "What kind of reward? Disney?"
"Yes," he blinked at him, as if that were obvious, remote in his hand as he sat back.
It was Sebastian's turn to lean towards Blaine, crawling on the other's bed as he rests his back on the headboard again, his sock-sheathed toe poking Blaine's side playfully. "Let's do this."
Blaine's heart leapt, his eyes growing wide when Sebastian leaned in close, but when he poked his side, he let out a surprised giggle. He huffed and moved to sit beside the other boy, pressing play on the movie. "I apologize in advance if I sing."
"Be my guest," Sebastian settled in more comfortably, his hand folding on top of his chest as he watched the movie.
As the movie progressed, Blaine settled down next to Sebastian, and nearly halfway into it, he turned over onto his side, facing Sebastian. His eyelids began to flutter slightly and he let out a loud yawn, rubbing at his eyes. "Sorry."
"Do you want me to leave? So you can rest?" Sebastian's voice is quiet, eyes on Blaine's face before glancing down at his watch. "It's getting pretty late anyway."
"No! No, it's okay- I'm alright," Blaine shook his head, getting a bit more comfortable. "What time are your plans with Santana?" He had been trying not to look at Sebastian throughout the movie, still not completely believing that the other way lying down next to him on his bed. He couldn't avoid it any longer, however, and was now staring at him with a small smile.
Sebastian fished his phone out of his pocket, checking to see if he had received any update from Santana. What he sees, instead, is a picture of Sam Evans posted on Santana's Tumblr. His jaw clenched slightly, before tossing his phone in the direction of his discarded coat. "It's cancelled, apparently," he muttered, letting himself sink further down into the mattress until his head hit one of Blaine's pillows, placing an arm just under his head, letting his eyes close briefly.
"What's the matter?" Blaine's expression turned concerned, his left hand laying flat on the bed between them.
"Nothing," he huffed, his chest rising and falling as he tried to keep his cool.
"Are you sure? It doesn't look like nothing," he frowned, studying his facial expression. Even though he was a little pleased that Sebastian might stay with him a bit longer, he didn't want him to be upset because of it.
"I rather not tell you because it involves your sidekick," Sebastian ran his free hand through his hair.
"Oh," Blaine remained silent for a short while. "Well, the offer for dinner still remains. I think my mom's making homemade mac and cheese, and of course, her famous garlic cheesy bread bites." He offered him a hopeful smile.
"No, it's alright, I'll just head home. The Chinese take-out guy won't get to come out of the restaurant's basement if I don't have him deliver my food tonight," Sebastian's lips pull upwards at his own attempt at a joke.
"Stay. We don't have to eat downstairs, we can watch something you want and eat up here and have our own fun," his smile was completely innocent.
"I can think of some ways to have fun." Sebastian finally opened his eyes just so he can wink at the other boy.
Blaine rolled his eyes, before flicking Sebastian's chest gently. "Not like that," he tried to ignore the flutter in his chest at his wink. "Isn't there anything else you can think of to do?"
"My time of fun is sort of different from your type of fun," he let his eyes close again, his fingers drumming against the comforter lightly.
"I bet we can find some middle ground," Blaine subtly moved a bit closer to Sebastian to get a better look at the freckles peaking out from underneath his v-neck. There were so many.
Sebastian let himself smile before opening up his palm in front of Blaine.
Blaine's eyes widened a bit, studying Sebastian's palm. After a moment, he hesitantly lifted his hand and traced his fingertip along the lines of his palm. He watched Sebastian closely, eyes curious.
Sebastian doesn't move for a few seconds, then his palm suddenly traps Blaine's finger between his warm hand in one quick movement. "You lose."
Blaine let out a quiet laugh, poking at his palm. "What're you doing?"
"It's a game I used to play," he explained, his tone light. "You're not supposed to let me catch your finger. You have to pull away before I trap it." Sebastian opened his palm up again, pushing it close to Blaine's chest. "Try again."
Blaine's smile slowly spread into a grin and he gently pressed his finger against Sebastian's hand, waiting for a signal that the other might try and grab it.
Sebastian snaps his hands shut, an eye peaking open when Blaine just got away in time. "Damn, you have good reflexes."
Blaine looked a bit to proud of himself, before holding his own palm up to Sebastian.
Sebastian leaned up a bit to place his finger on the right place before settling back down on the bed again, letting it trace Blaine's skin lightly.
Blaine's smile turned warm and he let Sebastian's touch linger on his skin for a little too long, partly hoping he'd catch him off guard, and partly because he loved the feel of Sebastian's skin on his. Finally, he clenched his fist, but Sebastian didn't even make an attempt to get away. A soft laugh escaped Blaine's lips and he didn't let his finger go for a few moments.
Sebastian let out a soft hum. "You're good at this." His voice sounded heavy and his eyelids relaxing a bit more, not even making an attempt to pull his hand free from Blaine's grasp
Watching with hesitant and curious eyes, Blaine loosened his grip, but only slightly. He let their hands rest on the bed, Sebastian's finger still leaning against his palm.
Sebastian's head lolled to the side after a few minutes, his breathing slow and even.
A warm smile spread over Blaine's lips and he let his eyes fall shut, sleep taking him only minutes later. Two hours or so later, there was a sharp knock on the door, and Blaine let out a quiet whine, barely budging.
Sebastian brings a hand to rub his eyes open, blinking them rapidly as they adjust to the light, trying to remember when he had exactly fallen asleep.
"Boys? Dinner's ready, get washed up and head downstairs," Stephanie headed back down without checking in on them, which Blaine was grateful for when he realized he was still holding loosely to Sebastian's hand. He gently moved away, feigning a stress to make it seem casual, and let out a quiet yawn. He glanced at Sebastian.
Sebastian immediately sat up, checking his watch before letting out a quiet sigh of relief. He ran a hand through his now slightly messy hair, before turning to face Blaine with a sleepy smirk. "Shit, I didn't mean to crash on your bed like that, I'm sorry," he covered up a yawn as he starts to pull his black sweater over his head. "I think I'll head home now, for real."
"Don't worry about it," Blaine shook his head, his smile warm and full of sleep. "You sure you don't want dinner to go? She made the cheesy bread." He raises his eyebrows, his smile widening
He put his boots on then his coat and making sure to grab the now crumpled paper he had written his Geometry notes on. "I guess a take out won't hurt."
"Come on," Blaine hopped up and led him downstairs to the kitchen, past his parents, who were in the living room. Blaine's dad gave Sebastian a smile and a nod, too invested in his food and television to get up and introduce himself - he also, most likely, got a warning from Stephanie before hand. The smell of the kitchen immediately hit both of their senses, and Blaine let out a low, pleased noise, his smile wide. "Yes," he immediately went for the garlic cheesy bread bites, which were small pieces of bread, loaded with cheddar cheese and freshly chopped garlic and plenty of butter. The moment he grabbed one, he hissed and brought his fingers to his lips with a little huff. "Hot." He whined, after a moment, before grabbing a fork, spearing it, and bringing it to his lips to blow on it. He ate it after he was sure it was cooled, and his eyes fell shut as he smiled around the food.
Sebastian laughed as Blaine ate - well, tried at first - these garlic cheesy bread bites he kept hearing about. "Come on, it can't be that good."
Blaine blinked a few times, staring up at him expectantly. After a moment, he speared another one and held it up to Sebastian's lips with raised eyebrows.
Sebastian raised an eyebrow, eyeing Blaine then the food before leaning forward to take a bite, his eyes immediately falling at the taste. "Holy shit Jesus fuck me," he practically moaned as he chewed.
"Language!" Blaine immediately hissed, but he couldn't help but smile. "Told you." He pulled out a Tupperware and started filling it with the bread bites, taking nearly more than half of them for the other boy. Next, he filled the other section of the Tupperware with her homemade mac and cheese, before sealing it and handing it over with a smile. "They're not as good microwaved, so finish them before they cool off."
"Will do, mom," Sebastian teased as he gave Blaine a warm smile, grabbing the containers from the other boy before walking out of the kitchen. "Thank you again, Steph, and those bread bites are amazing," he waved at her, charming as ever. "Mister Anderson," he nodded at him before opening the front door and walking out towards his car.
Blaine gave his mother a thumbs up, before following his out to his car, his hands going deep into his pockets. "Oh, wait a second! Wait right here." He held up his hands, motioning him to freeze, before rushing up to his room, and hurrying back with his plastic bag of vinyls. "I mean, you did pay for them," he smiled and offered him the bag.
Sebastian nodded, taking the bag from Blaine. "Thanks for this afternoon, even though not much studying was even done," he winked again as he pulled out his keys and with a press of a button, the driver's door automatically opened, ready for Sebastian to get inside. "Good night, Blaine."
"Hopefully I was entertaining enough for you. Any time you want to space out in geometry, I've got you covered." Blaine chewed on his bottom lip and rocked on his heels, hands in his pocket. He desperately wanted Sebastian to stay, but he knew he wouldn't, so saying goodbye in the bitter cold would have to do. He stared up at him for a few moments too long, his eyes flicking to Sebastian's lips, hoping that the other would really wish him a good night. Instead, Blaine smiled, still biting his lip, and gave the other a little wave. "Good night, Sebastian."
Sebastian leaned forward, invading Blaine's personal space, his lips near the other's ear as he whispered, "If you need any help at all, you have my number." He pulls away, his lips pulled up in a mischievous grin before rounding his car and gets inside and without another word or a glance back, just the sound of his car honking down the road as he disappeared into the night.
