For those of you researching programs, I highly recommend using the ARC-PA website to make sure that you find an accredited program. The reason why I say this is because I recently learned of people getting into programs that weren't accredited at all. This is a huge risk to take when applying as it might make finding a job super hard.

Additionally, the site has all the deadlines, fees, etc, in one place. You can search by state and see all accredited programs. ;-)

I absolutely cannot stand that high school and elementary school teachers are not drug tested. That's absolutely ridiculous. How many other jobs drug test? Many. But not school? Why? I'm tired of this "it's unconstitutional" bullshit. For once in your pathetic life it's not about you and your rights. It's about the children and their right to a proper education taught by someone level headed and clear minded. There has been numerous occasions of teachers coming to school high. I've seen it in my own high school. And there's been incidents reported of teacher becoming incapacitated in front of their students from drug use. Are these really the types of people who should be put in charge of groups of children? They can barely teacher a class. What would happen if there was an emergency? A fire? A shooting? Drugs weaken your reaction time. These are not individuals that are physically and mentally capable of keeping the children safe.

Basically, schools that do not require PCE (though they explicitly say that it is recommended). I will continue to add to this list and I will also include whether or not the GRE is required.
