Had arrived at Seattle King station around 11:30pm. Nice red hat helped us with our luggage until we got our Uber. Mom was very upset realizing how far the hotel was from the actual city and made it clear through the whole trip. She wasn't listening when I went through all our choices and why I picked it up. The Uber guy was super nice and understanding. Surprise surprise, apparently the Cafe ran out of food by 4pm. Good thing I saved the two breakfast sandwiches for the evening. We're rationing. I learned my lesson. You'd think Amtrak would too...as in stock more food. When we arrived at Klamath they told us the train was full, that they canceled our seats and our assigned seats were reassigned to other people. We were told that we'd have to sit in lounge. Definitely not complaining about that little tidbit. Still on the road, not sure what time we connect with the train since originally it was around 8am. And we got picked up almost 5 hours later. Meanwhile that's one of our views. Some spots damaged by previous fires trying to heal. And driving on curves that always make me nervous especially on a bus with lots of weight. I just hope we get to the train by a decent time so we can eat and sleep. Poor ma could hardly sleep since she's on the edge. (This ain't the Philippines my pinoy friends, the elderly don't get consideration to sit in the front. They don't get first dibs...hindi ganyan dito.) My fibro is screaming at me every once in a while. I'm hungry, exhausted and in pain. Plus I gotta pee but it's so hard to get up to get to the bus potty. I just need enough rest to recover so I don't sound like an idiot in my job interview. Doesn't matter if I look like dead cometh over. Guess I won't be sleeping yet. Cramped in a bus not sitting together with ma with 4.5 hrs trip...oh joy. Patience wearing a bit, I accidentally bumped the worn out villager and he snarked about having me check my bags. (Dude, I have important things in there...if they weren't they'd be packed in my damn luggage. I wasn't expecting this fun adventure otherwise I wouldn't have booked it...I was hoping for leg and butt room. It's why I went with train instead of plane.
