Summary: Katsuki and Izuku meet when they are young pups. Izuku has just moved packs and Katsuki decides the greenette is gonna be his best friend. They make a promise then: they are gonna be together and have each other’s back forever. And they do. They literally go through hell together and manage to get back stronger than ever. Their bond gets stronger with every new burden they face. They are gonna be the new leaders of the pack, they are the strongest werewolves...and then one day, everything snaps. Katsuki snaps. He goes feral and all of their dreams come crumbling down. When a werewolf goes feral it becomes a mindless monster and it has to be killed as soon as possible. As second strongest of the pack, Izuku is the only one who can kill Katsuki. Only, he can’t do it. In three thousand years, no werewolf has ever come back from a feral state. Izuku doesn’t care. He’s gonna do the impossible. He is gonna bring Katsuki back.
Frankie’s comment: I have to admit I wasn’t sure if I wanted to recommend this story. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great fic, written amazingly, happy ending and all, but it also has a lot of angst. Much more than my usual recommendations. Also, Imma make this crystal clear: it has a huge trigger warning of child abuse, it’s a bit disconcerting, it’s basically torture and it’s on Katsuki, so I had a hard time reading at times. So yeah, in the end I’m recommending it cause this fic kept me on my toes (I literally couldn’t go to sleep until 4 am cause I needed to know how it ended), and that’s something I really look for in fics. Also, they are my OTP, and in this fic they are the miracle couple with an unbreakable bond. The pack context is also very well thought and I liked that it concentrates more on the bakusquad than on the dekusquad. In the end, I leave it up to you, I liked it but be warned about the trigger before you read it.
