The last pup to survive the druid pack of Lamar valley. His mother, a brown and white colored wolf named Aspen, had survived the brutal slaughter of her pack by the Slough Creek wolves. She raised Kova alone and died when he was a yearling, her fate a mystery.
After his mother's death he became a lone wolf and wandered the wilderness for a few moons. He occasionally hooked up with other pack females just as his father, Casanova, did before him.
Then he met her, a beautiful Blacktail Plateau yearling named Akela.
