“So, today is my birthday,” you said into the mic, hating the fact that you were drawing attention to it but needing to get your point across. Before you could continue speaking - and cover up your comment - there was a round of Happy birthday!s from the audience.
You cleared your throat, blushing even though practically no one could see you.
“I just wanted to say that you two are both incredible, but Jared,” you swallowed, nerves seeping into your skin. “You’ve taught me so much about being myself and using my strengths to help other people. Thank you for that, and thank you for being here to make my birthday so awesome.”
Jared smiled, looking toward you where you were on the side of the stage. “Thank you, Y/N,” he said. He leaned over to Jensen and said something off-mic before standing, tossing his mic on his abandoned chair.
Before you knew it, you had your favorite gigantor of an actor coming at you, arms held wide. You fell into the hug, appreciating it more than he would ever know.
“I’m glad you’re here, and I hope your birthday is truly awesome,” he said to you. He let go of the hug to look into your eyes. “Not just because of me, but because of you.”
You nodded, unable to form words. The crowd was awwing and clapping, giving you time to collect yourself. Good thing, too, cause you still had a question to ask.
