I don’t know if you agree, but my painting "Paddle Boarders at Sunset in Porth Castell " felt like an appropriate image to share this weekend, as many people’s summer holidays come to an end.

It was inspired by a photo by a lovely Facebook friend, who very kindly gave permission for me to use it as an artist's reference. But as I painted, I thought of those long summer days, when the weather is so lovely no one wants to leave the beach, and achingly beautiful sunsets are all the more moving for representing the end of our summer activities... till next year.
