Your page has a tear to it, right down the middle as if it refused to be part of the book itself. Some might assume a reader just got too rough with the book but you know that your page was created this way because much like this page, you hate being told what to do and who you are. Authority figures, institutions, group work, those things are just not your cup of tea which is fine but it leaves one to wonder why you are here. What is it that you’re rebelling against by simply existing in this space? What do you stand for?
the characters in your story
PAGE 23: THE TRAGEDY. You know that you crash landed into their life without a care, much like you do with anything else, but you were drawn to them and you acted without thinking. Their friendship means the world to you, though, and you’re incredibly grateful they didn’t ignore you and walk away like anyone else would’ve.
PAGE 101: THE CONSCIENCE. They’ve been known to tug on your ear once or twice when you get too rowdy or come up with an idea that’s entirely too chaotic. You act like you hate it and constantly complain about them but truthfully, it's nice to have someone care, even if all they do is yell at you because of it.
PAGE 75: THE LOVER. You have a reputation to maintain so if anyone asked why you look at them a little too long for it to be considered casual, you’d laugh and brush it off. The truth is, they draw you in like they do everyone else and you’re weak to their charms. Nothing can come of it, of course, because they’re out of reach but still, you yearn.
