A Red Canvas AU

It goes without saying that some of the first expeditions to Mars would have to have an excellent crew of scientists, mathematicians, geologists, etc., everyone trained to perfection by NASA. So, it also goes without saying that everyone was equally surprised when Character A -- a painter -- is chosen for the expedition. 

To quell concerns, NASA explains that they were more than prepared for the logical side of their mission, but they lacked a fair amount of the emotional side. Character A was therefor sourced and deemed one of the first interstellar attachés, documenting the human side of this once in a lifetime experience, experimenting with different types of gravity-based art, and reporting home to the world just how alien but familiar the red planet truly was.

(I tried to paint a thumbmail in watercolor of the 3rd anniversary piece of Ada and it didn’t come out like I expected. I think I need to work with watercolor more, haha)

Paint AU

Everybody has a color resembled to them the most. They have the ability to magically change the color of anything they want to their own. Unless it was already changed by another person. (Ex: Keith can tap a paper twice to completely color it red or move one of his hands around to be more specific, practically paint on a computer.) So it’s a shock when Lance witnesses one of his blue notebooks become purple after Keith tried to paint it. Obviously, something was supposed to happen between them if that happened, they just didn’t believe it.

au where solas is an anonymous, yet well known, painter who always attends his own gallery show in dork tweed, professor-ish clothes and gets high and mighty with the art critics 

and siné has a show of her own, with her impressively intricate ink works, and they converse and find common ground and all that good jazz until she gets completely randomly roped into one of his performance art pieces that splatters a semi-permanent ink stain on her left hand 

and it is all just a mess
