I can’t remember the post but I saw someone making fun of Renoir’s appearance vs his Painted version in that Aline’s version has him in a nice suit and his beard is neatly trimmed but the real version is haggard and unkempt and have we considered that the reason for that is that Renoir is grieving while his Painted version still has his family? That Renoir has accepted that Verso and not coming back and his death has taken a toll on him along with the prolonged Painting in his attempts to pull Aline out of the Canvas? That his Painted version may have inherited Aline’s grief but in his mind Verso, the one we are playing as, is still is son, is still alive and can be saved?
