klaus and his paintings. an outlet for creativity and a metaphor for control, his art is also a mainstay when it comes to expressing his emotions. this is often a good thing, as it gives him a way to get his feelings off his chest and out of his mind in a way that feels far less vulnerable than talking to someone about them ( which i think we all can agree he desperately needs to do ), while of course also creating rather beautiful and notable pieces. however, this crutch can also turn negative quickly. when he's upset or angry, he tends to get near manic in his movements, using such force that he breaks the brush or stabs straight through the canvas. given that he's already easily frustrated and / or annoyed, not getting his art just right can send him into a near frenzy of irrational impatience, getting more and more worked up the longer the piece doesn't turn out the way he wants. this often leads to wrecked canvases and paint splattered on the surface beneath him and his skin. sometimes he'll forget the brush and tear at the canvas with his bare hands, claws tearing at it and destroying it. doing this never truly makes him feel better however, instead making him feel like a fool, and regretful that he destroyed a potential masterpiece with a childish outburst.
