"Hey Brooke, Can I ask you a HUGE favor? Can you bring a canvas and those rings mom gave us a while ago? Gigi and Pepe's rings? And meet me at the town hall? I'll explain later..." She trailed off realizing in that moment how crazy her twin was going to think her.

"Hey Bee-" Brooke paused, listening to her sister list off very specific instructions. "Uh…?" She blinked, slowly standing up from where she sat on the couch, thus making the dogs move too. Finally it clicked. Gigi and Pepe’s rings. Town hall? Canvas? "Wait what?!" she barked with a chocking cough, hitting her chest shortly after. "Bythesecondstar, Bria what are you getting me involved in?" Though she sounded unamused and irritated, she was actually very amused and was quickly hopping around to get her keys and the rings from the jewelry box.

A Tool is What it Does || Bria and Nicholas

Nicholas' shelf had broken. After the photos vanished from his house, he'd begun to fill the blank spaces with other things. He'd never been one for knickknacks, so books quickly began to fill the gaps. It started mostly with old textbooks, slowly moving, one by one, out of their boxes into the attic, replacing gaps around the house. But it quickly escalated, becoming any sort of literature he could get his hands on, from classic novels to how to manuals.

But hardcover editions were heavy, and one too many books had brought a shelf crashing down from the wall. Other than the frustration, there was no real damage. The one issue was that Nicholas couldn't fix it right away. He'd run out screws the right length to fix his shelf, and so he'd had to visit the hardware store. 

Finding what he'd needed was a simple enough task, though he did spend a little longer to debate between two different brands, quickly looking up which was stronger and reading reviews before he made his choice. All he had to do now was pay for them. Nicholas had been on his way to the cash register when a girl caught his eyes. It wasn't that she was particularly odd, not in her way of dress or features. But she was covered in spatters of color from head to toe. It perplexed him. Why? Little did he know that his looking at her had made him an odder sight than her, standing there gawking, confusion plainly marring his features.
