Islaja

   I stumbled upon Islaja whilst looking for a female neofolk-ish artist comparable to Death in June. She does not quite match Douglas Pearce's rhythmic strumming but instead often creates a more disjointed, almost ambient, sound. I must say, the result is rather intoxicating.  If you are looking for a female neofolk artist or a dark dark dark bjorkish-like artist, you should check this out.
