Now I'm no expert in international relations, just a history postgrad, but does this not sound like Israel preemptively excusing military 'excursions' into neighboring countries?

Today my coworker and I were discussing the occupation of Palestine. She turned to me and explained, hushed, that she was hesitant to speak out openly against Israel's occupation for fear that her sentiments would be taken as antisemitism. I have also heard that some people believe that Palestine deserves to be attacked because of trans rights, somehow.

Let me make one thing abundantly clear.

It doesn't matter what harm has befallen a nation; if that nation pays that harm forward, it has become the abuser. The receipt of genocide does not absolve genocidal tactics, and pointing that out doesn't make a person antisemitic.

That kind of fear only fuels the malicious victim-blaming that we're seeing right now. Disagreeing with Israel is antisemitic, so the Palestinians must have had it coming for some reason!

Grow up. Stop blaming people for their own murders. No one deserves this.
