A theoretical form of radical socialism characterized by the belief in societal collapse followed by a fundamental rebirth into a collectivist, egalitarian order. Palingenetic ultrasocialism combines the concept of palingenesis (cyclical rebirth or regeneration) with a commitment to a maximalist socialist transformation—envisioning not only structural change (e.g. abolition of capitalism) but also the reshaping of cultural, moral, and psychological norms.
