On Ghosting Artists
Just a quick reminder for fellow artists / coworkers: do not ever ghost away or don’t reply to interested commissioners because “you forgot” or not take their requests seriously. This also goes for Art Trading with fellow artists as well. A week is fine, a month is fine, six months is fine so long you keep people updated - if you’re ignoring your commissioners requests because you can’t organize or prioritize your schedule and life or are bad at communicating you’re unable to take slots, that is just poor professionalism. They are willing to pay for something they want from you, the least you can do is take them seriously. A quick email / headsup about “being delayed” is perfectly fine but please, treat your commissions and commissioners with respect.
Commission Artists and Freelancing is hard. Do a service to yourself and your fellow Artists by taking commissions and commissioners seriously.
