kieran  used  to  hate  having  a  free  moment.  hated  having  to  be  left  alone  with  his  own  thoughts  for  too  long  but  now  he  makes  time  to  be  free.  not  for  himself.  but  so  he  can  see  his  boyfriend,  the  word  still  makes  him  feel  tingly.  he's  rushing  back  to  mason's  when  he  suddenly  sees  the  red  hair  he  loves  so  much.  "mase!  hey,  hi."  he  bounces  up  to  him

   ‘      brave   of   your   date   to   rock   up   wearing   what   i   assume   is   walmart’s   finest   ,      obviously   ,      i   wouldn’t   know   for   sure   since   i   have   never   stepped   foot   in   one   but      .   .   .      you   know   ,      i’ve   seen   the   likes   advertised   online   .      ’      truth   be   told   ,      attempting   to   get   under   his   skin   is   one   of   the   only   things   that   ensures   events   ,      such   as   the   one   currently   being   held   at   her   grandfather’s   home   ,      were   in   any   way   worth   attending         (      not   that   there   was   much   choice   given      )   .         ‘      unless   this   is   one   of   your   charity   endeavors   ?      like   is   she   just   here   in   order   to   receive   a   hot   meal   ?      i   believe   my   grandfather   is   doling   out   bottles   of   scharzhofberger   riesling   as   attendance   gifts   ,      perhaps   she   could   trade   it   for   .   .   .      heroin   or   some   bottles   of   cider   ?   ’

   ultimately   ,      relishes   in   fact   he   won’t   be   burdened   with   eleven   year   old   child   from   hell   ,      isn’t   that   his   half-brother   is   particularly   poorly   behaved   ,      no   ,      quite   the   opposite   .      that   kid   is   far   too   polite   ,      too   polished   and   tidy   ,         too   unlike   noah   at   that   age   that   there’s   no   other   option         –––            he   will   most   certainly   develop   into   some   sort   of   extravagant   serial   killer   .         still   ,      that   doesn’t   mean   he   doesn’t   hold   some   bitterness   at   being   deemed   irresponsible   ,      and   he   may   take   that   bitterness   out   of   the   female   sat   at   the   kitchen   table   when   he   arrives   back   from   hanging   out   with   a   guy   two   doors   down   who   is   thankfully   a   similar   age         (      saves   him   from   going   insane   while   he   resides   here   for   the   next   couple   of   weeks      )         –––            ‘   i   would   say   i   hope   he   was   well-behaved   for   you   ,      but   i   have   no   doubt   that’s   true   ,      what   did   the   little   maestro   get   up   to   tonight   ?      cure   cancer   ?      create   his   own   vaccine   ?   ’

   watches   ,      in   mundane   fascination ,   as   he   interacts   with   that   vapid   old   bitch   who   comes   in   every   thursday   to   buy   eleven   tins   of   chickpeas   ,      she’d   been   the   source   of   a   warning   or   two   from   management            –––            urged   to   dial   up   the   niceties   and   try   not   to   sneer   at   the   elderly   woman   who   feels   the   need   to   constantly   comment   on   her   appearance   and   the   appearance   of   other   customers   .         ‘   are   you   trying   to   get   in   her   pants   or   something   ?            /            i   see   no   other   reason   you’d   even   offer   than   heinous   old   hag   a   smile   ,      not   judging   your   taste   by   the   way   .   ’
