how does one explain the beauty that is eli wilcox ?? he’s twenty-two as of this past october, and he was born in danvers, massachusetts !! except he wasn’t always eli wilcox :~( his parents are simon and rebecca greycrest, and he originally went by his family name, but changed it when he left massachusetts for college; more on that in a sec tho !! a few centuries back, the greycrest family lived in the south of france, up until jewish ppl in provence were exiled in 1501; after that, they went to italy, but they weren’t there for very long either, bc shortly after they arrived the val camonica witch trials occurred !! they fled to england, jumped on a boat to massachusetts asap, and managed to fly under the radar during the salem witch trials :/ in short, eli is both jewish and a witch :O he rly resents the latter tho bc despite his family essentially controlling all of the covens in new england he views magic and witchcraft as morally evil :~( tht (frankly, irrational) view led him to anthropology, which is p much his one true passion !! he applied to (under the false name of eli wilcox, bc he rejects all things witchy) and was accepted by tulane university in new orleans, louisiana and tht is where he’s currently in his senior year of college, majoring in anthropology and planning on pursuing a doctorate degree in archaeology !! he also reads tarot cards in the french quarter for $$, which is a lil ironic, all things considered ?? in his freshman year there, he tried to rush a fraternity in order to get the full, human college experience, but didn’t end up making the cut, and ever since then he’s been p obsessed w/ bro culture (he claims it’s ironic, but when ‘yolo’ or a broism is every other word out of his mouth, u can’t be sure) :/ he likes to crash parties with his guitar (tht he doesn’t know how to play) and sing wonderwall, he likes to drink a lot, he likes to say yolo/bae/broisms/dude/etc, he likes dinosaurs, he likes to wear stupidly patterned clothes, and he’s pretty killer at beer pong, but underneath all of that, he’s honestly SO SO SO smart he’s a complete genius and science is his passion and the one thing he takes seriously :~) ok tht isn’t true he takes lysander doyle seriously; lysander is a dumb frat boy who also attends tulane, a year below eli, and also happens to be a mermaid, but worse than that, he’s STRAIGHT ?? which is rly unfortunate bc eli is definitely head over heels in love w/ him, lysander definitely knows, and it’s definitely unrequited (as far as eli knows)„ tho personally i think lysander just might not love him back bc eli 1) is deathly terrified of water and 2) has no clue how to swim :/ it kind of harshes lysander’s vibe :/
