Computer Science and IT Majors-- LIS Analyst I

Job Description:

Provide support and direction for LIS department by assisting in database maintenance, testing and implementation of new software. Provide support for IT/LIS infrastructure. Assist in client and staff training in LIS or supporting applications.

Assist with maintenance of database with high level of accuracy. 

Assist with patient demographic updates and re-sending of patient reports.

Assisting with testing and implementation of new software.

Monitor, install, maintain and troubleshoot supporting LIS infrastructure including, but not limited to reporting systems, interfaces, or other applications.

Must be able to type 50 WPM.

Assist with client and staff training in LIS or supporting applications and hardware.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have a minimum of 2 years working in a laboratory setting with no degree, 1 years experience with an AA degree.

Basic competency in standard PC applications (including work processing, spreadsheets, and email) and hardware.

Ability to operate basic office equipment such as telephone, fax machine, copier, and printers.

Possess good written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills.

Physical ability to perform basic job functions, including but not limited to lifting, bending and keyboarding skills.

Reliable and capable of working with minimal supervision.
