I don't drink that much but if you had the taste of alcohol on your lips, I'd kiss you 'til I'm drunk off you and the buzz seeps into my bones. I don't smoke but I want you like a smoker wants a drag of cigarettes. I need you like the air that fills up my lungs every time I breathe. I can't resist looking at you like how Orpheus couldn't stop himself from looking back to make sure that Eurydice was really leaving Tartarus with him. I crave you like a person with a sweet tooth craves sugary treats. I want to be so close to you, even if it'll hurt like how Icarus got so close to the Sun that the wax from his father's inventions melted and he fell into the ocean. If your eyes were a river, I'd let myself drown and be swept away in the current of them. If we were immortal lovers with forever, always and so much more ahead of them, it'd never be enough for me. I want to hold you so close, like how a child clutches onto their prized possessions. I need you because you make me feel warm like a home filled with loving memories, a crackling fireplace, and warm drinks to drink after a cold winter day. I need you because you make me dream again, like how it's that perfect moment when you're in bed, fast asleep because it's comfortable and safe or like how it's that moment when you can sit or lay down with a good book in hand to read. I think about you all the time, like how a hopeful dreamer daydreams throughout their every day mundane lives. If I could, I would give you the world but it isn't mine to give and I would offer you my heart, but it's already in your grasps. If I could, I'd take all the stars and catch them in a big net to give to you but I'm already captivated by your brown eyes and the way they twinkle and hold mine.
