My birthday weekend has been absolutely filled with love thus far. 💕 I'm just so happy. I don't think I've ever felt this happy. I've spent Friday, yesterday and will spend today and Monday (my actual bday) surrounded by people I love. I have to spend the day today going hard on schoolwork with a friend, though, because wow I'm behind on cardiovascular and endocrine stuff. 😬😬😬 But gosh idk if my friends know just how happy they make me.

We made some with nougat inside, and had a bit of nice strawberry-rhubarb (jordbær-rababar) marmalade on the side.

Tenny was, of course, sitting there waiting for something to fall his way.

I just realized my fanfic is full of references to food because I get most of my daydreaming time in while cooking meals for my kids. Which is why after this morning’s breakfast, Kate Stewart is going to have a nice little flashback from her university days about Annika, the statuesque blonde exchange student from Copenhagen who made her aebleskivers the morning after.

Apple-skewers-? if we are being literal. Otherwise one can say they are a kind of fritter, basically pancake balls, that would have apple slices inside---hence the name! Though, one can put whatever they want inside, or nothing at all. These can be made in a thick pan that has several inset half-spheres, and you turn the batter upside-down once one side is cooked just enough so that you get a sphere.
