Palace of Illusions by Chitra Banerjee. Its definitely underrated. The writing style is beautiful . Its based on Indian mythology. But the story starts from the beginning so its not necessary to know about Indian mythology , you can find out as you read. One of the main characters in this mythology is a woman named Panchaali and the story is told from her point of view. 

She has 5 husbands who are all supposed to be royals , but they are cheated out of their kingdom. And the story revolves around them trying to get their kingdom back . She is such an incredible character so flawed and yet so beautiful in her own way . The whole story is an emotional rollercoaster. I hope everyone reads it because its so beautiful, moving and powerful !!

There are so many quotes from the book that are amazing but kind of spoiler-y , but not this one. Hopefully this will tempt people into reading it.

Panchaali

Panchaali was Draupadi in the Mahabharata. I created this blog to give all indian women a voice. While Panchaali’s clothes were being ripped off in the Mahabharata no one helped her except Lord Krishna. I am a Lord Krishna devotee, all Indian women must always remember that Lord Krishna will save us and take care of us always.
