Panchghani

This is a tiny, sleepy little hill station in Maharashtra. The strawberries are pretty abundant over the place and make for very beautiful photographs :D . A strawberry cream thingy is very popular around the place and there are photos of pretty much every bollywood star in existence eating it. If you ask me though, the syrup, the ice cream and the preserve kinda drowned out the flavor of the strawberries. The fruit cream at Haji Ali is a much shorter ride away. The journey back was equally harrowing although we got out early. 2 tire punctures on the Mumbai-Pune expresssway later, we were stranded on the edge of navi mumbai at 2 in the morning. After a lot of phone calls to the police (who argued about jurisdiction), to Meru (who were as available as always) and home (lying about already reaching back :D ), we were back.

Asia Plateau in Panchghani. Simply beautiful. quiet. and calm. pictures of the roads that lead to the gardens and the buildings. These were taken at 6 30 in the morning, when the weather was cold and windy, and there was no man on the path. the sounds of the birds chirping and wind swishing. very, very peaceful
