Hey otherkin/therian/alterhuman tumblr!

I’m writing this right after seeing Wolf (2021), and I wanna give everyone thinking of watching it some specific trigger warnings.

I’m gonna give a general warning that this movie will be especially distressing to people who have been incarcerated and institutionalized. Another warning is the themes in this movie seem to me to mimic both the methods of conversion therapy and abusive medical methods used on nerodivergent people.

In this movie, physical, psychological and medical abuse is done to otherkins/therians/alterhumans in a medical facility in order to make them mask, hide, or relinquish their identities. The abuse pictured mostly happens to victims in the canine family, though others abused are birds, cats, horses, squirrels, pandas, and spiders. There may be others I haven’t remembered.

As for sex-related triggers, there is a sex scene in this movie. I read it as consensual but I can see it triggering someone as it is intense and emotionally worrisome. And while there is no textual sexual assault, one character talks about her stepdad in a way that can be taken to allude to sexual assault, and definitely alludes to physical.

Finally, I’d like to invite anyone that has a specific trigger I haven’t mention and wants to see the movie to dm me, I’ll always reply and will remember to the best of my ability.

I have many forms as I loved to be chaotic, I would become all of these different things and I loved it. Adventuring and digging through dirt as a dog, setting in plains of glass as a cow, climbing in trees as a red panda, and so much more. I decided to live a human life after a while, cus I was bored. I had many names as I went through time, changing my forms every couple of centuries. I love my family. They bring me joy. I have will always have home in my first pantheon, but I love dancing around with other deities in other pantheons, I have been forgotten by so many but I still have chaos to bring.
