Kent was a location that Alaric would have found beautiful under any circumstances, but going home with Pandora for the holidays and seeing her parent's home ready for Christmas gave the location a quality of feeling that Alaric could only assume was akin to being inside a snow globe. He'd never felt part of something so quintessentially Christmas because the parties his family hosted and those he attended weren't meant for enjoying the holiday spirit, they were all about proving something and networking, but this? This was home, this was family, and Alaric felt undeniably sentimental as he moved away from the window and into the kitchen, following the scent of cookies.
Taking a sip from his mug of tea, Alaric set it down on a nearby table before moving to hug Pandora from behind, one hand landing lightly on her stomach before his arms folded around her properly. "Do you think the gingerbread men are done?" He asked, pressing a brief kiss to her cheek before loosening his hold on her. "It smells so good in here." While Alaric wasn't quite a stranger to baking, he'd certainly spent more time on it and learned more about it since he and Pandora got together and he was looking forward to following her lead and helping contribute in some way towards getting ready for Christmas. @pandorakane
